Nice caption on that first photo with the lovely Nazi imagery:
1:15pm – this guy is a teabagger. I overheard him tell the guy next to him, “Well, I’m going to try to get some recognition for this sign and get it plastered all over the fucking place.”
Cue Michelle Malkin posting said photo in 5…4…3…2…

I’m wicked glad I live in Massachusetts. Cosmo McTrucknutz notwithstanding.

We narrowly escaped having a republican governor here in Oregon. A former pro basketball player who never governed anything in his life. He so very much would have acted like the governors from Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Isn’t is Michigan where McCain said: Those jobs are never coming back my friend.

My internet tubes are so slow tonight I have to do a crossword puzzle between refreshes.
If you do crosswords on the Interwebs, which ones? I’m always looking for more. Currently I do The USA Today, Houston Chronicle, Toronto Star (two) and Los Angeles Times. All free and pretty good software. I occasionally do the New York Times “classic” puzzle, if I remember, but I am still butt-hurt about their putting the new ones behind a paywall years ago.

I do the New York Times one that comes in my local Sunday paper, and the Washington Post one that comes in my little city paper. Do ones that come from the internet? When I just complained about how slow it is? Are you kidding?
I’m wicked glad I live in New York. Governor Cuomo may be cutting spending and resisting raising taxes on the rich (which, granted, are already high here), but at least he’s not trying to destroy unions.
We have this nice lady. all causing a ruckus in the Armed Services committee to move DADT repeal along, and pushing for healthcare for 9/11 workers, and introducing repeals of DOMA and make all kinds of noise about ending the war in Afghanistan, despite the fact she’s still serving someone else’s term.

@Nick: But Harold Ford would have been better. I read great reviews about him in the Times.

@Steeplejack: The internet is so slow tonight that it took a half an hour to be able to read your response. I know that posting is slow too, but when I refresh it takes the page a half an hour to show itself. I think I’ll go to bed.
we narrowly escaped the batshyt crazy here in Illinois, but we did.

@Steeplejack: If you go to All-Star Puzzles they have 900+ mini Crostics. They have all sorts of other puzzles there as well. I love the jigsaw puzzles, myself.
Lucky me, I live in Ohio. In fact I’m a librarian i.e. a public employee in Ohio. I’ve worked as a public employee for 40 years and have never worked under Social Security. I’m so screwed.
This. It kind of bummed me out when Kirk got the Senate seat (thank you, Green Party) but seeing how Republican governors in surrounding states have been doing business, I’m glad I was one more vote for Quinn. And hey, it made us the ‘flee here to protect your state from stupid laws’ state. I like that, it would make for a cool state motto or bumper sticker.

I guess we can expect this to happen in every state that has a republican governor.

Well, once you get to the page not much is going on–mainly waiting for you to type something–so the response time doesn’t feel slow.
Sorry, just askin’.

@Nick: One of the signs at the rally in Buffalo to support WI workers read “Are you listening, Andrew?” I suspect he was.
