that is pretty cute.
have ya’ll seen this video of the twin boys (I think) having what seems to be a REAL conversation in their “twinsie” language.
My sister’s are twin and my mother is 1 of 10, which includes 3 sets of twins, so I’ve been around twins all my life, but even so, this was cute, but kidna creeped me out too.
I agree about that film. I loved it. I think they took down the one where the two boys stand on their heads simultaneously. Sam Kitten is adorable. I also love the phase they go through when they try to do things super fast–to surprise you–and they just revel in this sense that they are mastering the world around them. They can evoke a response in you! Its incredible! RedKitten I highly recommend “The Philosophical Baby” by Alison Gopnik. Its an easy read but do read it now. It explains a lot of what you see, developmentally, from zero to bout two and a half. I read it this year and my children are 12 and 14 but it brought it all back and made that experience so much richer.

Another voice exclaiming how cute Sam is and how big he’s getting.
I have a feeling I’m going to come back a few times to see the video — it’s a definite antidote to the newer postings and threads.
Redkitten, thanks for sending this to John to post.

Glad everybody enjoyed it. :) He’s a pretty neat kid. Yesterday he discovered the childhood joy of drawing in the dirt with a stick. I’d forgotten how much fun that was.
I get a kick out of his look of consternation at the end when he gets his thumb stuck in the keys. And I have no idea what “Dut-doh!” means. It’s not “uh-oh”, ’cause he already knows how to say that. He also says it when the doorbell rings, so I’m thinking that “dut-doh” is his version of “ding-dong”.

What a ham! Kids are great when they’re showing off for the camera.
That one is, anyway.
This is way cuter than that video of the twins. He’s really connecting with the camera and the picture-maker.

Awwwww. Squeeze him till he pops for me. My own cutie pie is 6’3″ and he still isn’t wild about getting hugs in public.

Wow, what a cutie! SamKitten absolutely adores whoever is filming him. When SamKitten flashed his big smile, I found myself smiling right back at him.

That would be me. :) And yeah, the feeling is mutual.
I was giving him big, wide-eyed smiles to egg him on, but didn’t want to talk and spoil the video. I’m kind of surprised it turned out that well. Normally nowadays when I haul out the camera, he wants to look at it (and by look at it, I mean press every single damn button on the thing while simultaneously smearing his peanut-buttery little paws all over the screen and the lens.)

He gets a sort of Philip Glass, Steve Reich minimalist thing going there at one point. He’s adorable.

The pure, unadulterated joy that a toddler finds in the simplest things.
Simply wonderful!

We have a tape of our own son Sam plating the same movement of Bartok’s Mikrocosmos. Same age. Never lose that video.

Poor kid. Stuck playing the lounge again.
All that’s missing is a big brandy snifter with a dollar bill hanging out of it.

Wow, I hope my kid is that cute at that age.

Do you happen to watch The Simpsons? Samkitten appears to say, “D’oh!”(of Homer fame) at least 2 or 3 times.
