Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Following reporting rules is only for the little people, apparently.

JFC, are there no editors left at that goddamn rag?

Text STOP to opt out of updates on war plans.

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

Trump’s cabinet: like a magic 8 ball that only gives wrong answers.

They don’t have outfits that big. nor codpieces that small.

A thin legal pretext to veneer over their personal religious and political desires.

Trumpflation is an intolerable hardship for every American, and it’s Trump’s fault.

This isn’t Democrats spending madly. This is government catching up.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

When do we start airlifting the women and children out of Texas?

They spent the last eight months firing professionals and replacing them with ideologues.

It is possible to do the right thing without the promise of a cookie.

When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty. ~Thomas Jefferson

rich, arrogant assholes who equate luck with genius

Republicans got rid of McCarthy. Democrats chose not to save him.

They want us to be overwhelmed and exhausted. Focus. Resist. Oppose.

Hey hey, RFK, how many kids did you kill today?

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

Since we are repeating ourselves, let me just say fuck that.

Donald Trump found guilty as fuck – May 30, 2024!

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

I really should read my own blog.

Reality always gets a vote in the end.

As a Chelsea neighbor, I have to be for them, but I applaud the way Wigan treat their fans. When they went down 9-1 to Tottenham they gave refunds, so good on ’em.

    @JM:

    Got espn3?

If yes, you can get Wolves-Everton, Nurnberg-Bayern, Inter-Chievo, Bilbao-Real, Udinese-Roma, Union-Red Bull, and a bunch of matches from the South American U-17 championship.

File this under No Fuckin’ Way:

The US under-20 team is out of the world championship this year, after being in it the last eight times. Lost 2-1 to Guatemala, the host team.

Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard will miss the rest of Liverpool’s season after reinjuring his just-operated-on groin in training. Gaaaah …

In other sports news, I plan to spend this weekend ignoring the Malaysian Grand Prix. I realized years ago that Formula 1 is the ultimate expression of going around in circles.

Jebus, speaking of ‘ultimate’, isn’t there a version of car racing that actually does, you know, ovals.

Randinho, it is Molineux, not Molineux Stadium. No-one, and certainly not Wolves’ fans, ever calls it anything but Molineux.

@Amir_Khalid: MotoGP is pretty good. You actually get lead changes every couple of laps. April 29th they will be in Portugal.

Also too, go Cottagers! If they weren’t playing in Old Trafford I might actually think Fulham could win this week.

Nothing that screams must see – I think I’ll catch the NY Philly match tonight.

@matoken_chan: Jeez, Look at their frigging website address: molineuxstadium.co.uk/

It doesn’t just say Molineux. It doesn’t say Molineux Park. It doesn’t say Molineux Grounds. It says Molineux Stadium.

Honestly, if you’re going to be pedant, at least get it right.

Fulham’s keeper should’ve stayed on his line. Oh well, Man was the better side.
