It’s probably better than my ill-fated attempt to start a barbershop quartet with dogs…

    Love the title.

On topic, I seem to remember Thomas Cahill writing about how Irish scribes and monks used to write about their cats and drinking in the marginalia of their scrolls / books.

So the Irish have been singing about greymalkins and mead for over a millennia, minimum.

Oh,man, that’s now #2 on my list of the trivial things I want (first being the weeping angel statue, natch).

If we could get Shane “Teeth” MacGowan to singe “Whiskers in the Jar”, my life would be complete.

Watched “A Face in the Crowd” last night. Great movie. About a hobo who becomes famous and then goes crazy with power. Reminded me of Sarah Palin.

    Thanks for the e-link Douglass.

“Whiskers in the Jar” is about to make the playlist in a certain Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Being Irish, drunk, and possessing several cats (or is that possessed by several cats?) I think I need that.

In my sphere, I’m planning on releasing short stories on Kindle this week (yay!) after which I will get my cats drunk.

Trying to come up with a civically meaningful use of my time. Any ideas? Caveat: It can’t involve having to spend a lot of time with people. Ironic, I know.

What’s a CD? Your friend received a Credit Default? You can put Irish drinking songs on those? No wonder those things caused the financial collapse.
