Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Everybody saw this coming.

If you can’t control your emotions, someone else will.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

You are either for trump or for democracy. Pick one.

This blog will pay for itself.

There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

I really should read my own blog.

One lie, alone, tears the fabric of reality.

Whoever he was, that guy was nuts.

Oppose, oppose, oppose. do not congratulate. this is not business as usual.

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

He really is that stupid.

The real work of an opposition party is to oppose.

Petty moves from a petty man.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

Donald Trump found guilty as fuck – May 30, 2024!

“Alexa, change the president.”

If you tweet it in all caps, that makes it true!

Imperialist aggressors must be defeated, or the whole world loses.

Some judge needs to shut this circus down soon.

Today in Palin news:

Sarah Palin is launching a nationwide bus tour starting Sunday in Washington, a Palin source has confirmed to POLITICO.

The first stop will be at the annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally. Palin will then travel up the East Coast in a trip that will include her first stop in New Hampshire since running as the GOP’s vice presidential nominee in 2008.

Palin will also be stopping at other spots of symbolic national significance on the East Coast, including the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg and Antietam, and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.

Palin’s camp intends to post more information on the trip on the recently revamped website for her political action committee. There were few details on the SarahPAC site following the announcement.

“Starting this weekend, Sarah Palin will embark on a One Nation Tour of historical sites that were key to the formation, survival, and growth of the United States of America,” a statement on the site reads. “The tour will originate in Washington DC and will proceed north up the east coast. More information will follow.”

Someone should tell her that Lee had to retreat after Antietam and Gettysburg was the turning point of the war, because stopping there is probably going to piss off her base. At any rate, it appears that the abominable snowbilly will be coming soon to a neighborhood near you on her One Nation Under a Grievance tour. I wonder what this is all about:

A map showing Palin’s stops was blank when her website posted information on the tour. The site did, however, point her supporters to a donation page.

Oh. The devil must need some more Prada.

I hope someone follows her bus around to see if she’s actually doing a bus tour, or just driving it to the airport and getting on a private jet like she did for her “Going Rogue” book signing “bus tour.”

@gnomedad: A Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally is a “spot of symbolic national significance on the East Coast” on a par with Civil War battlefields and the Liberty Bell? Will she need to call Bachmann for directions to Lexington and Concord?

    Lucrative Loophole

Of the 25 members of Congress who have said they are stepping down, 18 have leadership PACs with a combined $850,000, according to CRP analysis.

“There’s a wide gap, if not a gulf, between what lawmakers can do with regular campaign money versus leadership PAC money,” said Dave Levinthal, communications director for the Washington, D.C.-based CRP. “The question comes up: What can politicians do with the leftover PAC money, and the answer is pretty much whatever they want.”

“Have I been accurate on everything I’ve said – no, that’s not true. The fact is I read and I read a lot…it isn’t’ my job to go and fact-check sources that come out in publications,” she countered.

The wingnuts in the Senate see no starbursts for Elizabeth Warren. The woman has them scarred shitless, she will take the helm of the new Consumer Protection agency. There was virtually no chance Obama would use only a week recess to do appointments that way, but the wingers ain’t taking no chances.

Some Republicans feared that Obama would use the recess to appoint Elizabeth Warren to head the controversial Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which will have broad powers over Wall Street.

LoL, they can run but not hide, as it seems to me that Obama is committed to getting Warren to start up this potentially powerful bullwark against runaway greed. We shall see.

I love it that this bright dorky woman fills the heeman wingers with such morbid dread, regardless of what happens.

    Wait a minute …

Sarah Palin has announced a private bus tour of famous American historical sites being paid for out of her PAC?

So … she’s getting her supporters to give her an all-expenses paid vacation across the US? In a private bus? And what does she promise to do on this tour of the US? “Through visits to historical sites and patriotic events, we’ll share the importance of America’s foundation.” She promises to go see some sights, attend some Fourth of July celebrations, and maybe a few rallies. Somehow I’m betting the motorcycle rally in Sturgis might even make the cut as a “patriotic event” if she feels like attending it.

This is perhaps the most awesomely shameless piece of political grifting I think I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’m in awe – she’s on her way to being the most successful con artist in the history of the country.
