Exactly.

By the way, there’s a WI Supreme Court hearing going on right now to determine if Judge Sumi had the right to stay the (get rid of the) collective bargaining law. It was supposed to last for 2 hours – it’s been about five hours, with a break for lunch, and may still be going on (I’m getting Twitter updates and there hasn’t been one for about 30 mins).

I chipped in. I can’t really afford it, but I’m glad to do it. The recalls are so important, and these are the legit candidates (although Jen Shilling got left off for some reason).
Today there was a midday march to the Capitol, led by the firefighters’ bagpipe crew and Russ Feingold! Interesting that he took a prominent role, as he was conspicuously absent for much of the winter’s events; I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not planning something. It was 90 degrees and there were thousands of us. Yes, whether it’s snowing, raining, or unseasonably hot, we’re still out there, reminding Walker and his gang that Badgers don’t give up so easy.
The big thing in Madison right now is the Walkerville tent city on the sidewalks around the Capitol to educate people about the budget plan and keep a constant presence. I continue to be impressed at how creative and resourceful people are around here: make it so that people can’t really protest inside the Capitol? No matter, we’ll camp out outside the Capitol. You can’t get rid of us.

Not much luck in getting to double figures, so consider this an alternative contribution.

Oh, and props here to regulars who put in the protesting groundwork to get to this stage (Omnes, Little Boots et al). Good on you all.

I come to ask of the wisdom of the Balloon Juicers-
I have an FHA loan that I refinanced in 2009. I have a pretty good rate, but I’m paying mortgage insurance because of my low down payment plus my loan included the closing costs.
My lender just called me to tell me they could refi for me AGAIN and lower my insurance, possibly refund some of it and there would be no closing costs.
I’m trying to figure out what program this would be under, and whether I’d have to actually qualify for a loan modification? Or if they just want me to refi again? Which I don’t really need to do, at all.
Are any of you familiar with what changes were made to the FHA program that they could be trying to give me the benefit of? Or are they just trying to get themselves the benefit of my money?

Spinal Tap! Excellent choice. I wish I could donate right now, but money is just too tight. If things get a little less so, I’ll see what I can do.

I really, really don’t like being a wet blanket about Wisconsin, but today has been thoroughly depressing.
The aforementioned protests today featured five arrests inside the Capitol, plus another two at the M&I Bank on the square; arrestees included those two documentary filmmakers from Vermont, who didn’t seem to do a damn thing wrong, and a couple of the direct-action contingent who seem intent on doing damn near everything wrong (including that Segway dude, who’s apparently also receiving a Netroots Nation scholarship — Christ on a crispy cracker crust). Throw in some reports of unnecessary uses of force by state troopers, and you can see it all turning into the same movie we’ve seen too many times before. Did I mention it was mid-90s and humid today, and will stay that way for most of the week?
Meanwhile, inside the state Supreme Court chambers, all outward indications point to a straight ideological split in everything the Court will do re: Sumi’s order. A third link will probably put me in moderation, so, go read the lead story at madison punto com. There’s talk that the Court could reach a decision on hearing the case and/or outright vacating Sumi’s order tonight. The prospect looms of the principle of universally-applicable law vanishing on the state level in Wisconsin if the Court goes ahead and legislates from the bench on the Fitzes’ behalf as expected. And then it gets worse to think about — who knows whether Democratic winners of recall elections could even expect to be allowed to take office, for example, if the Supreme Court signal continued willingness to act as political operatives.
(“Come on, that’s paranoid-silly — they wouldn’t go that far, would they?” Yes. Yes, they would. You don’t know how vicious some of these people are.)

And now it’s confirmed:
Anthony Weiner is well hung.
Good job, media!

I’ll bet it’s really for the Representative Weiner re-election campaign.

Will this money go to the real Dem candidates, or the Republicans they are having pose as Dems?
