I’m holding out for the Balloon-Juice Hookup.

Wanna go so badly but…damn work and geographical distance and…yeah. Kay, if you’re reading, give wifey a kiss for me. And I’ll make sure her butt gets there.

Do you really want some of the sarcastic minds on this blog grading your performance in bed? You’re a braver man than I…
R-Jud
Cris (Without an H): I don’t know if you’re Tunch’s type.

I only wish I could be in Minneapolis. The B-J meetup sounds great, but getting out of this heat sounds even better.
Kay
Thanks, John. It’s extraordinarily busy here.
gbear: you don’t have to drink to go. You and I will have dessert.

the difference between meetup and hookup is, at conventioneered prices, about $70 dollars in drinks.

It’s gotta be busy trying to find out which NN organizing moran allowed Calamity Jane a prominent platform on the OPENING DAY OF THE CONVENTION to spew her claptrap to a traditional media audience, thus undermining what much of the progressive netroots is all about…and that includes most people at the GOS who aren’t firebaggers gaming the Wreck List in order to spew the same claptrap.

Mrs P and I will be there, and we’ll most likely be having dinner there, unless someone has a better idea.

Oh no, poor Carrie Marriott, wife of the heir to the Marriott fortune, has been trampled by teh governments!
Odds that one of her neighbors called the fuzz on her?

How is the ihateobama whinefest (aka “Netroots Nation” going?

I actually had Thanksgiving Dinner at Brit’s Pub once. I would stick with the fish and chips. Anyway, that was about 20 years and 2000 miles ago, but I still have some fond memories of that place. Wish I could be there.

I’m curious to hear from someone actually there (and not in the panty-sniffing sense that traditional media is ‘there’): what’s the relative ratio of activities focused on a) policy/positive action versus b) self-gratification of fading blog whores throwing sad but well-attended tantrums?

i would recommend key’s @ the foshay tower for breakfast anytime of day. the big bloody is great way to start the day, be sure to get the beer chaser though, you’ll need it!

We had a ton of fun at NN last year, but alas this year it didn’t work out. Have fun you guys!

I’d be there if I was there.

I would love to be there to see what this pretend progressive John Galt Cole is like in person. It would be so facinating to see how his eyes light up when he talks about his hero Greenwald and how Libertarians have some great ideas. And how he fully supports Boehner holding Obama’s feet to the fire on Libya.
But sadly, I have better things to do….like clipping my toe nails.
Nic
I’d love to be there .. but I’ll be at the stadium for the Twins game tonight. I hope everyone from out of town in Minneapolis enjoys our city & state!
gwangung
Sorry, can’t make it to Minnesota.
However, I will be at this congregation.
And this will be my session.
Sigh. I was just supposed to be the ORGANIZER. That didn’t mean I actually KNOW anything….
Jake Nelson
Sigh. Really feeling like such a lazyass for not hauling myself up to Minneapolis for any of the festivities. (Transportation would be an issue, though probably not an insurmountable one – I’m about 10 miles out and don’t have a car.) I just know I’d get roped into something, though, and my self-imposed retirement from this stuff is hard enough to maintain.
Anyway, have fun, enjoy the town.

I’d love to be there, but I’ll be seeing Florence and the Machine (finally!) at the Mn Zoo.
Tomorrow wouldn’t work either, as it’s Rock the Garden time at the Walker Art Center. As much as I love arguing politics, I love me some Neko Case even more.
Heh, just realized…Florence and Neko, pale leggy redheads…sheesh. Even queers have their types!

Sorry, I won’t be able to make it, folks. I plan to do something with Ginni on the back forty.

There’s a lot of policy stuff. The tantrum-throwing gets more attention, but there’s a lot of policy stuff.
A lot of really nice people, too.

That’s a lot of bona fide liberals and progressives complaining about President Obama. I wonder if there’s anything to that.

Make sure there’s a spare loading dolley and hockey mask for Mnemosyne. When she bites your face off, her pulse will never rise above 72.

Have fun storming the castle.
Comrade Kevin
Okay, where is everyone? Theres three of us looking around
Greyjoy
Aw dammmit. I’m in the Cities and would’ve liked to have gone to this. That’s what I get for tuning in late.
