To celebrate the 4th, we took Max on a long hike near Deep Creek lake in Maryland. Needless to say he held up like a champ.

I get the impression that Max knows he’s hilarious.

Max is a total ham! What a wonderful funny guy.
ETA: LOL the ad that just came up is for the Invisible Fence!
Dee Loralei
In that first pic he looks like he’s thinking ” You killeded me, you killeded me daid.I shore hope you is happy now.”
But, I guess he doesn’t talk bad southern
What a ham.

Playing L.A. Noire, what a silly game. It looks great and it starts off seeming like it will be fun, but the gameplay is terrible. Some silly Law & Order game I played five years ago did a much better job in the investigation and interrogation parts. Here, your idiot character will out of the blue accuse some bystander of triple homicide when you pick the doubt option.
And man have I wanted to kill all of my partners. Now I understand why Columbo worked alone.

First I was like…. but then I lol’d.
My cat is trying to hide from the neighbor’s fireworks tonight. It didn’t help that she got underfoot when I came home from the store and I managed to step on her three times before I got my footing (thankfully she didn’t get hurt). Poor kitty.

@ SiubhanDuinne @ 10:21. Hey! I read you bought an Ipad. been hinting around I want one for my birthday…what should I look for? I’ve never used a Mac so I have no clue. A client told me I wouldn’t want one “because you can’t do documents”, ie, can’t work on it. Sounds like a good recommendation haha.
Max is gorgeous and the photos of Max are gorgeous. Amazing.

Charlie says, I hear ya Max. Take it easy, or any way you can.
And what happens when puppehs get woke up for getting their pics taken

Stuck,
That second pick is what I’m going to look like tomorrow morning.

Tim, your photos are always so gorgeous! And Max is hilarious. You really capture him at exactly the right moment in the perfect lighting to catch his personality. So funny. He looks like he’s having a wonderful time.

in max’ defense, all you do is walk along the path, he follows every smell, every lead, always on the lookout for bears and whatever else. he walks three miles for every one you walk, and he hasn’t seen you sniff out a possible unfriendly, not even once.

Love Max!! Thanks for sharing :) We took Suzie Q to a friend’s farm on Saturday. She loves the farm and chases grasshoppers all over the garden. Life is good!

[email protected]:Completely OT, but all I can think when I see your nym is:
I’m not the sort of person she’ll admit she knows…
She’s not the sort of person as driven white as snow…

MAXPUPPEH!!
I’m pooped. Been running around the ranch all day and think my car may yet be healed but we won’t know for sure until we drop a battery in it. Now I’m laying in bed trying to keep Jack-Jack calm from all the big booms.

iPad has word, exel, and PowerPoint. No problems.

Love Max… those are great pictures.
Cat Lady
Happy dog is happy. Cats have their charms, but they don’t let you know how they feel like a dog roll in the grass does. I can smell the grass from here.
Greyjoy
Depends on the cat. Tell me you can’t tell that this is a happy cat.
Comrade Luke
You like that Olympus EP-1? Seems to produce great contrast.
harlana
Great pics, great! Magnificent doggeh!
Rihilism
I can definitely tell when my cats are happy. One of my torbys (torbies? sp?) rolls on her back to get her tummy rubbed (never had a cat do that before). The other chirps and bounds up to me to get her butt scratched. It’s pretty obvious when they are pissed off as well…
Phyllis
@Greyjoy: Fuzzy wuzzy kitty! My favorite kind.

Max is such a beautiful model, and he obviously loves the camera as much as it loves him. You do a great job of being his personal photographer.
WereBear
Dogs do, cats are.
You takes your pick.

Does Max bring water along in a squirt bottle?
My previous dogs learned quickly how to drink from one, as has my current dog Lucy. It’s terrific because even on what to hoomins seems like a mild day can be dehydrating for an active dog, and they can have a quick drink or a long drink, without the hassle of carrying a bottle of water and a bowl.
Plus, also, too, since the dog is having water at intervals during the walk, he/she doesn’t come home really thirsty, drink up a lot of water (which can be hard on their stomachs on a hot day) and then have to go out again to pee instead of taking a long nap.

Usually we bring one. This time we hiked up and down a mountain creek so Max found plenty of water using nothing but his natural wild animal instincts.
Love it. I planned to hold on to the E-P1 until I die or it does, but the E-P3 has seriously damaged my resolve. Delicious, luxurious instantaneous autofocus…yum… If its image quality is even marginally better I would have to tie myself to a mast, Odysseus-like, to stop myself from trading up.
trollhattan
The E-PL3 “might could be” the camera that drags me into µ4/3, as it seems to have the best feature set of the three new bodies. I’ve seen E-P3 demo videos that show fast auto-focusing with standard 4/3 lenses, which is key for me as I have a ton of them. Up to now, focus on µ4/3–not so fast.
Also, too: the new 12/2.0. Want.
IrishGirl
But the grass smellllllsssssooooogooooood plus it’s cool on his poor overheated body. You just don’t understand what a fine tuned machine like Max needs! LOL
