That’s gonna leave a mark.
The vet appointment for Tunch is what I’m referring to, but probably for the guy in the pic as well.

Cataract-ridden Granny got into the Photoshop again. Focus and lighting were never her strong points.

I am not going to show that photo to my kittehs.
Currently struggling with the continued horrors of job hunting. Usually by now in the week I’ve found 2-3 jobs to submit resumes to, but not today. :worry:

Poor kitty. He blundered into a human village, got frightened and lashed out at people, who got frightened and lashed out right back at him. And now he’s dead.
Villago Delenda Est
That’s actually a picture of one of Michelle Bachmann’s migraines taking her out for an afternoon.
Han's Big Snark Solo
Did you notice that the cat attacked the one guy in the photo who was NOT wearing a helmet, and bit said guy on the head?
Smart kitty.
My 80 pound, three legged boxer likes to beg for attention by coming up to me when I’m on my couch and putting his head in my lap. In so doing he always, even when I try to stop him, manages to crush my groin with his remaining front paw. He is like a ninja.

My concern this morning is for a goat which was recently jailed by Progressives under highly questionable circumstances. We know that one of the pillars of the Progressive community, millionaire Al Gore, cannot even purchase sex successfully.
And now we have a goat, behind bars. Poor thing.

The poor animal later died.

That picture is a nice metaphor for what Obama is doing to House Republicans right now.

You’re absolutely right. Poor kitty.
The competition for space/resources on the planet surface probably won’t get better in the foreseeable future.

OT, way, way OT, but check out this Sullivan quote from today.
BO_Bill
‘The group of vigilante men came to report that while they were on patrol they saw some hoodlums attempting to rob a car [A Mazda 323]. They pursued them. However, one of them escaped while the other turned into a goat.’
This poor goat was last seen on its knees, behind bars, next to a pile of straw. This is worse than those 28 bunnies in someone’s backyard.
Citizen_X
I see that picture, and I hear the Australian guy from Jurassic Park screaming, “SHOOT HER! SHOOT HER!”

While it sucks for that leopard, I cannot for one second fault the people in that village for defending themselves. I’m assuming they didn’t have tranquilizer darts, so they made do with what they had. Such is life.

The Leopard is to small for Tunch.

That’s a great leopard-skin outfit Wendi’s wearing.

This is pretty much exactly what my cat is doing to my bare foot right now. For whatever reason, nothing excites her more than a just-out-of-the-shower bare foot. Its the only time she tries to put her teeth in me.

I feel your pain.
I don’t know if this fits your needs or what line of work you are in (apologies if you mentioned upstring), but joining the business network LinkedIn helped me get some contacts that led to interviews. Nothing has landed but I have a prospect or two that seem serious. Use what you can, I say. Without a doubt, businesses are really really not moving fast these days (wonder why?) Heh

I love the leopard — not going down without a fight. Yeah!
While I support that the people must defend themselves, its just such a tragedy anymore that wild beautiful creatures like this leopard have less and less territory to range for their own survival. I hate it that mankind is hogging the planet to the degree that we are out of balance with the earth’s other creatures. It breaks my heart to know this beauty had to be killed…

Good. The last time I looked at this plan, I thought it was a bad plan. It might improve with time, if we had time.
ornery
Poor guy. Yes poor leopard, what a beautiful beast, but I automatically had some concern for the mauled human.
Is that out of place?
jl
@32 ornery: Yes, it is out of place on this blog. But it is nothing to be ashamed of, and even admirable. We should show compassion for all creatures, even humans.

This is why, imo, cats are more dangerous predators than dogs. Cats, for short periods of time, can actually fly.

I can’t cite the source but I think Erik Alterman is ill with a brain tumor and may be fighting for his health. There hasn’t been an announcement, but I seem to remember that he was battling this thing.

@Poopyman: Don’t worry, they’re cousins in parallel universes. This lot has the terminally grumpy jackal genus down to an art across the majority of the space-time continuums. Best not to inquire too deeply.

Perhaps Eric Alterman is ill, but he’s still writing regular columns for the Daily Beast, the Nation, the Center for American Progress, Forward, is still posting on his Altercation blog and to Twitter, and published a book in January.
