Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

So it was an October Surprise A Day, like an Advent calendar but for crime.

They fucked up the fucking up of the fuckup!

We are builders in a constant struggle with destroyers. let’s win this.

Republicans don’t trust women.

Just because you believe it, that doesn’t make it true.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

This really is a full service blog.

Bark louder, little dog.

Consistently wrong since 2002

Some judge needs to shut this circus down soon.

I like you, you’re my kind of trouble.

Roe isn’t about choice, it’s about freedom.

It’s time for the GOP to dust off that post-2012 autopsy, completely ignore it, and light the party on fire again.

fuckem (in honor of the late great efgoldman)

The arc of history bends toward the same old fuckery.

You don’t get rid of your umbrella while it’s still raining.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

When do the post office & the dmv weigh in on the wuhan virus?

Why is it so hard for them to condemn hate?

Reagan’s prayer

This is the worst sort of shameless nutpicking — linking to anything at American Thinker is nutpicking and this is just a comment — but it made me laugh:

The forests will sing, the oceans will cry
The eagles will soar through every sky
Using the Constitution, the tyrants we will assail
The Tea Party’s battle-call will wail
Taking Washington with flag in hand
Claiming back our rights and our cherished land
So one day, everyone will share
The hidden words, of Reagan’s Prayer…

Somehow This reminds me of Faulkner’s reflections on Pickett’s Charge.

For every Southern boy fourteen years old, not once but whenever he wants it, there is the instant when it’s still not yet two oclock on that July afternoon in 1863, the brigades are in position behind the rail fence, the guns are laid and ready in the woods and the furled flags are already loosened to break out and Pickett himself with his long oiled ringlets and his hat in one hand probably and his sword in the other looking up the hill waiting for Longstreet to give the word and it’s all in the balance, it hasn’t happened yet, it hasn’t even begun yet, it not only hasn’t begun yet but there is stll time for it not to begin against that position and those circumstances which made more men than Garnett and Kemper and Armstead and Wilcox look grave yet it’s going to begin, we all know that, we have come too far with too much at stake and that moment doesn’t need even a fourteen-year-old boy to think This time. Maybe this time with all this much to lose and all this much to gain: Pennsylvania, Maryland, the world, the golden dome of Washington itself to crown with desperate and unbelievable victory the desperate gamble, the cast made two years ago….

    3) Dear lord, please send Obama and the blacks back to Africa.

It’s actually a beautiful universe, in a way. Tax cuts solve everything. The more money rich people make the better off everybody is. They’re always right and everybody else is always wrong. As long as you say a few nice words about Jeebus you can be a complete asshole your entire life and still live in eternal paradise when you die, which, by the way, we’re trying to make happen as soon as possible. The only serious drawback is that their universe is a complete fantasy.

You know, the thing about poetry is that it’s not just supposed to _rhyme_, it’s supposed to have a consistent or at least patterned _meter_. The syllable counts are flailing all over the place, not by design but because the writer has no idea what he’s doing. As someone who teaches poetry scansion, that offends me deeply.

That’s some North-Korean-level sycophancy right there.

From a subspecies that claim to be all about ‘freedom’ and ‘independence’ they sure do embrace the cringing authoritarian-follower mindset, and witless bad art, of a peasant living under totalitarianism.

I’m waiting for the Teatards to declare Fictional Reagan the Eternal President of the US, like Kim il Sung is for NK.

I approve of what you did there.

Why are the forests happy but the oceans sad, and why are there multiple skies? This is some Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds shit. Picture yourself on a boat on a crying ocean, with tangerine happy-trees and several marmalade skies.

Wait a minute… I think that’s the ecosystem of the Boehner Homeworld.
