Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

“Can i answer the question? No you can not!”

The republican caucus is already covering themselves with something, and it’s not glory.

And now I have baud making fun of me. this day can’t get worse.

An almost top 10,000 blog!

He really is that stupid.

If you’re pissed about Biden’s speech, he was talking about you.

The cruelty is the point; the law be damned.

No offense, but this thread hasn’t been about you for quite a while.

When do the post office & the dmv weigh in on the wuhan virus?

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Bad news for Ron DeSantis is great news for America.

I really should read my own blog.

It’s easy to sit in safety and prescribe what other people should be doing.

The arc of history bends toward the same old fuckery.

You can’t love your country only when you win.

Don’t expect peaches from an apple tree.

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

It’s time for the GOP to dust off that post-2012 autopsy, completely ignore it, and light the party on fire again.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

You can’t attract Republican voters. You can only out organize them.

Ron DeSantis, the grand wizard, oops, governor of FL

It’s all just conspiracy shit beamed down from the mothership.

Spilling the end game before they can coat it in frankl luntz-approved dogwhistles.

Here is Tunch giving his best Bill the Cat impression:

Apparently he spent the day while I was away freebasing tender vittles and other such wildness.

@HumboldtBlue: Many years ago I had a shar pei and a golden retriever. The golden was good at tearing and chewing and the shar pei not so much. The shar pei could jump up on furniture and toss down the pillows from the sofa onto the floor. At that point, the golden could shred it and the shar pei could play with the leftovers. Good times. One time upon arriving home, I discovered there were a few chunks out of the edge of an oriental. After staring in disbelief and knowing the now ex was on his way home, I moved the rug and hid the edge under the furniture. The ex is long gone but i still have the rug and the edge is still under the furniture. lol

“There certainly were discussions — not for long because of the arc the campaign took — but certainly there were discussions about whether, if they were to win, it would be appropriate for her to be sworn in.”

Well, Tunch looks in charge — as usual…

Buddy is sitting right here as I type. He has no idea that in ten days he will be in a caryall on his way east…

When Alan and I moved out here, we drove with Buddy and Bill in the “extendacab” part of the truck. Buddy was cool but Bill bitched the whole damned way cross country…

I tried some of that “Cat Be Calm” stuff for their water, but I don’t think it did much. Will try the new pheromone spray this time, though I am hoping Buddy will tolerate travel like he did the last time.

John, how does Tunch travel? How about other people’s experience with “travelin” cats?

Ah, but her BOOK, which trades on the great poison she helped foist into our national public life, will make her COIN. She helped to toss an enormous turd into the punch bowl and now hopes to charge people to read about it. Wallace should have sounded the alarm at the time she and others were discussing whether or not it was “appropriate” for Palin to be sworn in.
