Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Accused of treason; bitches about the ratings. I am in awe.

There are consequences to being an arrogant, sullen prick.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

Today’s GOP: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

Despite his magical powers, I don’t think Trump is thinking this through, to be honest.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

rich, arrogant assholes who equate luck with genius

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

You cannot shame the shameless.

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

The GOP is a fucking disgrace.

Happy indictment week to all who celebrate!

“Squeaker” McCarthy

Fuck these fucking interesting times.

Conservatism: there are some people the law protects but does not bind and others who the law binds but does not protect.

You can’t attract Republican voters. You can only out organize them.

When do the post office & the dmv weigh in on the wuhan virus?

People are complicated. Love is not.

🎶 Those boots were made for mockin’ 🎵

Something needs to be done about our bogus SCOTUS.

Republicans in disarray!

If you’re pissed about Biden’s speech, he was talking about you.

Donald Trump the Orange Supremacist calls Jon Stewart Racist; Has a Pot-Kettle Problem

Irony to the white courtesy phone, please.

Donald “I have a good relationship with The Blacks™” Trump is calling for Jon Stewart’s head. Apparently, he lives in a world where making a joke about kidnapping babies is racist.

No, it doesn’t make any sense:

In his latest Youtube video Tuesday afternoon, the birther-curious host of The Apprentice had a lengthy rant about Stewart’s confusion over Cain’s response to the sexual harassment charges.”

“How come Jon Stewart gets away with a racist rant against Herman Cain?” Trump asked. “Nobody else could pull that off. Where is Rev. Jackson? Where is Rev. Sharpton? Where are all the critics where if someone else did it, it would be a disaster?”

Trump then cited the part where his outrage at Stewart was based on.

“He horribly stated in his imitation, ‘Have you ever kidnapped a baby other than the Lindbergh baby,’” Trump said. “Now if anybody watches this, they would say ‘Wow, that’s amazing.’ It’s not what he said, but the way he said it. The tone of his voice, the inflection, unbelievable. Anybody else, deep, deep trouble.”

~snip~

When somebody else says something, even a little bit non-politically correct, they go after him. But when Jon Stewart does a horrible, horrible thing to the African-American community, they leave him alone.”

I’ll tell you were Reverends Jackson and Sharpton are — laughing at your dumb ass.

As you can see in the video in question, Jon Stewart neither says nor does anything that could remotely considered racist:

The Daily Show
Get More: Daily Show Full Episodes,Political Humor & Satire Blog,The Daily Show on Facebook

Nothing racist. Not even a little. Nothing even racist-ish. Trump is full of shit.

Furthermore, Trump’s trumped-up accusations are rich coming from the guy who demanded that President Obama release his birth certificate and acted like a gleeful jackass when he did so, completely blind to the fact that his request was borne of racism and privilege and was, unlike Stewart’s comments, “insulting to the African-American community.”

And let’s not forget that Trump also demanded to know how President Obama got into Columbia and Harvard.

But yeah — Jon Stewart is racist because he spoke in a deep voice when mocking Herman Cain’s ridiculous responses to questions about the sexual harassment scandal.

Donald? You, sir, are an idiot.

What have we fucking done (aside from not stage a revolution in 2000 when the Supreme Court appointed a deserting sack of shit to the Presidency) to deserve being subjected to the continued bleatings of this fuckstick?

First we have Ann Coulter crawling out of the alien cocoon in which she regenerates her faux human covering to talk crazy shit out “our blacks.” Now, Donald the Chump Trump pops up again to make a fool out of himself.

Republicans are losing their mind over race. And the GOP primaries haven’t even begun yet. At this rate, they won’t even make it to the November presidential elections without all doing a Rick Perry St Vitus Dance jitterbug.

Maybe Obama needs to calm everybody’s shit down again with another speech on race. And I don’t mean this ironically.

Like the herd of Zebras looks like nothing more than a sea of black and white stripes to the lion, also too, the steamy piles of bullshit dolloped out by wingnuts has the same effect on voters. Or something like that

I’m completely baffled. I mean, Stewart wasn’t even doing an impression of Cain, let alone some stereotypical “black voice.” I don’t even know what that voice was that he was doing when he said the Lindbergh thing, but there’s no way anyone on the planet could think it was racist. As someone noted above, the part where he imitated the pizza guy was far edgier!

And yet, you will inevitably see any number of conservatives parroting this claim from Trump, because that’s how they roll. “Remember when Jon Stewart launched that racist anti-Cain tirade?” These people are certifiable.

It reminds me of my dearly departed FIL who didn’t really understand what words meant. He sorta kinda knew some things were considered good and some things were considered bad, but he couldn’t figure out how anyone could decide out what that was (I think he was undiagnosed high-functioning autistic..or something). So he would use words that he thought sounded right — you’re arrogant! He’s intimidated! etc. But he didn’t really know what they meant, just that somehow they were supposed to be good or bad, depending on the situation.

The Repubs seem to be like that: Look, liberals say a bad thing about a black man! Must be racism! Look, liberals say Sarah Palin is an idiot! They don’t like strong women!

Plus, we probably wouldn’t know who Romney’s VP candidate is until a few hours before Election Day begins, what with how many times we can expect him to change his mind about it after the GOP convention.

I don’t know. This has a ring of authenticity to it.

That’s one of the reasons that I don’t need to jump to conclusions.

Like I said before, if one of the accusers is white…that will change the game radically against him, in the GOP base.

This is politics. But even here, I think that Cain may be undone if the charges seem plausible, no matter the ethnicity of his accusers.

And even though you may not mean it this way, I note that you are not the first person to appear to take some pleasure in the notion that white conservatives might discount any testimony of a black woman, and be particularly offended if Cain harassed a white woman. I always wonder here if people are remarking about the supposed racism of all conservatives, or projecting their own racism.

And a white conservative man losing to Obama absolutely sent the white conservatives round the bend.

Their unhinged responses included questioning the President’s country of birth, and organizing into a white resentment movement that claimed to be upset about taxes, despite taxes decreasing over the past two and a half years.

Reality Check — you need to ask for overdraft protection. You are a moron. You can find random people who will say all kinds of stuff. Tea Party/OWS … we could play tit for tat there I’m sure. What you conservatives never seem to get is EQUIVALENCE. Finding a random person who says mean things is not the same as elected officials or representatives of a political party. Show me the Democratic elected officals or party representatives who are on record as saying things like GOP elected officials or party representatives and perhaps we can talk. I’ll wait.

@Reality Check: Bonkers? Not really. I find both Cain and Michael Steele very amusing. I consider Colin Powell an intelligent and once-decent man who sold his soul when he worked for the Bush II administration.

Clarence Thomas, OTOH, I despise. That’s because he’s a Koch-purchased fool in an extremely powerful lifetime position to negatively impact the U.S.

    Two words: Anita Hill.

Frankly, I don’t think that Cain’s teatard base would be too bent out of shape if he kept it within the melanin group.

I don’t give a rat’s ass about that aspect of it…sexual harassment is sexual harassment…but you can bet your bottom dollar that the teatards DO draw that distinction.

That bit of dialog in Blazing Saddles (at the thug recruitment line) rings too true to be dismissed casually.

ABL is thinking along these lines as well, and she’s got a perspective that lends her to doing so.

@Brachiator: Well, as long as we’re being very precise and loathe to judge and all that, there is also the distinct possibility (I’ll cop to feeling it) that the pleasure is not so much in the state and existence of the unwritten rules as such, but rather in seeing those the essentially writ dem rules getting tangled up in them. Party of the Blue Dress, Calling Party of the Blue Dress to the Media Battle Lines! Will there be instant calls for his impeachment as unfit to govern once the battle to elect him is over? Inquiring minds want to know. It would also be far less amusing a situation if he wasn’t such a clown of a candidate; the sound tract is instantly kazoos and slide-whistles instead of oboe and cellos.

I don’t know that to be the case at all, and I have noted the racism among the Tea Party People.

But racism is also an American problem, and I tire of the phony BS that wants to pretend that liberals, progressives and Democrats have freed themselves from it, and that only conservatives, Republicans and Tea Party People are the only bigots left.

It is beginning to look like Cain’s pizza is cooked. Let’s see how it plays out.

I’m really not sure what point you are trying to make. But it’s been a long day.

You’ll know the end is nigh when the CainTrain hires Ahnold Schwarzenegger as a consultant. He, BTW, was also accused of sexual harrassment by several women while running for gov of Calif. While ‘schwarzen’, means black person in German, it would be a bit of a stretch to consider him an African American.

@Brachiator: I certainly hope these allegations are not true. We would likely lose the entertainment value Mr. Cain provides.

In some ways he’s fascinating. I wouldn’t expect him to be particularly informed about, say, foreign policy (hell, W didn’t know squat about foreign anything, and he had been in politics for many years); but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect someone with a background including high-level corporate positions and a stint on a Federal Reserve board to know that he can’t prevent China from acquiring the nukes they’ve had for 50 years. It’s a bit like Dr. Watson’s reaction when he finds out that Sherlock Holmes doesn’t know that the earth goes around the sun – it’s kind of jarring.

As a Black woman, hardly projecting my own racism, I pretty much assumed that they’re all white women. I take no pleasure in this, sad as it is, I don’t see them [NRA] paying a Black woman a year’s salary for saying a Black man sexually harassed them.

Anita Hill anyone? Her disclosures were just a bit earlier.

This is an important point. The teatards love their alpha males, and this harassment was a matter of marking territory in front of other alpha males. It is no coincidence that there were witnesses to this harassment – that was the whole point. Cain singled out and publicly humiliated young black women who were subordinate to him. He probably did not know why he did it, it was just a matter of testosterone poisoning.
