Wouldn’t mind having one of these in the 412 or 724. Even possibly the 304. Hint, hint.
Nicole
See you there! I’ll be the one with the stroller.

Maybe ya’ll can talk about this new book: ‘Hot Guys and Baby Animals’: See studly/adorable photos!
I saw this book title and just knew it might be up the “pet-obsessed” alley of BJ.

Can’t make the meet up. Great bar, though. I used to play darts there.

Looking forward to it.

Man, if I knew this earlier, I would have taken a cross-country flight!
Seriously, anything like this happening in SoCal in the near future? Sounds like fun.
celiadexter
I’m in — great place, by the way.
Comrade Mary
Will there be green balloons? Will there?
Diana
I will be there, with pictures of Puffy on my iphone even though we won’t be in Puffy’s tavern anymore.
Chuck Butcher
I”m pretty sure I will be very fashionably very late … sounds like fun for you all, too many time zones for me.
Trying to get the couple OR contingent together would involve some serious logistics.
Yutsano
@Chuck Butcher: I’d be willing to supplement that happening with my presence as long as it’s on a weekend.
errg
I’ll be there, looking forward to meeting everyone…

@Yutsano:
I tried this with a car group once, a heck of a lot of intial enthusiasm until the realities started setting in. I’d like to do it, but hell – at speed limit + 5 it takes me 5+ hours freeway to get to Portland, much less any other “actual place.”
Once you say NW as opposed to just one of our states … whooeee. Even Tri-cities isn’t a heck of alot of help.
Thanks to a campaign in OR-2 (bigger than any state E of Mississippi R) I have an abundance of experience with this state (that and Harley).

Have fun guys! Wish I could be there. DougJ what are you going to wear? Seersucker?
Ron
Let me know when you organize a Rochester/western NY area one.
Redleg
Is that anywhere near Cincinnati?
elvislives
DougJ will be waiting for his dreamboat in the bathroom stall.

Why don’t you call it a “Juice Mixer”?

Further discussion during “Harley-season”?

Where is Sullivan going to sit?
Comrade Mary
In the same place Elijah does during the Seder.
Yutsano
@Chuck Butcher: You’re on! :)
And I might throw MikeJ and CaseyL in the back seat. Possibly together. I have a comfy rig. And cameras could come into play. :)

wait, wait, for introductions, is it screen names and not real names for commenters or real names and not screen names? how does this work? will you have on a “my name is dougj” label or is your real name marcus?
Caz
Shouldn’t you be holding this rally at a gov’t run business rather than a private business?
Also, am I invited?? I’d love to come and have some thoughtful debates with you all where we come up with the most insulting names we can think of for conservatives. “Asshole” is always a good one, and of course “Racist” is a classic.
I look forward to seeing you all there for some lively, fun times!
Oh, by the way, just wondering if there is a higher cover charge for trolls. Let me know, thanks. :-)

@Yutsano:
Maybe start in mid-Spring finding out who and from where might be interested in such a thing. Distance is a real challenge and trying to mitigate that even a little is a hell of a challenge.
Yutsano
@Chuck Butcher: We could probably finagle something. I’m more than willing to donate my vehicle and driving skills for a project like that. I also know a couple good eating spots in the Tri-Cities or even Walla Walla and those are within day trip territory from here.

And perhaps while you’re there you can commiserate over this article in the NYT lamenting how some New York City property owners will have to pay higher taxes because of the expiration of 421a tax exemptions on their condominiums.
I’m telling you, it broke my heart to hear about how poor Tod Abrams had to go from paying 35 dollars a month in 2007 on his two bedroom condo with the “…custom Valcucine kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows and views that stretch from the George Washington Bridge to the Chrysler Building.” to paying $374 a month today and how, in 2018, he’ll have to pay $1,629 a month on a condominium he’s attempting to sell for $1.575 million. Oh the humanity. Paying $374 a month in property taxes. This is why job creation isn’t happening in this country, because job creators like Mr. Abrams no longer have that extra $339 a month to create jobs with and instead have to give it to socialist bureaucrats. And if you think things are bad now imagine how bad they’ll be in 2018 when Mr. Abrams has to pay $1,629 a month in property taxes, or $19,548 annually, an effective tax rate of 1.24 percent on his $1.575 million dollar condominium. 1.24 percent? My God, there truly is no limit to the depraved cruelty of New York’s liberal socialists.
Now, some unkind and cruel liberals might say that Mr. Abrams and his fellow condo owners don’t deserve any sympathy, that they should have known what they were getting into when they bought this property, that they should have done their research and paid more attention to the provisions of section 421a and how it would affect their property taxes and the resale value of their property. Those people are wrong though and this situation is totally different than that of homeowners whose mortgages are underwater and who cannot get banks to negotiate new terms with them. Really, it is and when Mr. Abrams goes Galt we’ll all be sorry.

@Chuck Butcher:
Sure would.. Possible to do something in portland. I know there are a couple Portlanders here.
