Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

People are weird.

The cruelty is the point; the law be damned.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

I have other things to bitch about but those will have to wait.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

The Supreme Court cannot be allowed to become the ultimate, unaccountable arbiter of everything.

If ‘weird’ was the finish line, they ran through the tape and kept running.

This country desperately needs a functioning fourth estate.

Give the craziest people you know everything they want and hope they don’t ask for more? Great plan.

Text STOP to opt out of updates on war plans.

Human rights are not a matter of opinion!

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

Dear Washington Post, you are the darkness now.

A democracy can’t function when people can’t distinguish facts from lies.

Giving in to doom is how authoritarians win.

The fight for our country is always worth it. ~Kamala Harris

The press swings at every pitch, we don’t have to.

Stamping your little feets and demanding that they see how important you are? Not working anymore.

These days, even the boring Republicans are nuts.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

He really is that stupid.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

Mediocre white men think RFK Jr’s pathetic midlife crisis is inspirational. The bar is set so low for them, it’s subterranean.

Steelers v. Bengals, 7-0 Steelers right now.

That first td should not have counted, because Ben was over the line of scrimmage.

Good on you for being fair about the giveaway to the Steelers.

The Bengals, like the Bills, are regressing to the mean anyways. This should be a walk for the Steelers.

I didn’t see the play, but the rule is the throw is legal if the thrower has any portion of his body behind the line. So, if he even had one toe behind the line, the throw is legal.

Bills are letting the Cowboys build a big lead to get Romo relaxed for his traditional second half interception storm. They better be careful or they might be facing Kitna or McGee in the 4th.

And, in fact, the majority of women in the workplace are not tender creatures and are largely adept at dealing with all varieties of uncomfortable or hostile situations. Show me a smart, competent young professional woman who is utterly derailed by a verbal unwanted sexual advance or an inappropriate comment about her appearance, and I will show you a rare spotted owl.

Today’s women have no problem going to a job interview where the prospective employer shoves their head into his crotch and asks “Do you want this job or not?” It’s just the playful banter between the sexes that has been going on since the dawn of time.

Feminists just have no sense of humor. Maybe why that’s why they can never get a man.

I’d really love to see the reactions of all the brave oppressed men complaining about women just being overly sensitive react to a gay boss’s slapping their butts every time they walk by their cube or grabbing their head in a taxi and asking about how badly they want a raise. Yes, I know this particular idiot (with established idiocy drilling rights clearly established) is of the other persuasion, but there is a choir she’s pole-dancing to.

Also too, Pat Shurmur ran three very conservative running plays with 1st and goal inside the 10 because the Rams essentially had nothing doing on offense the whole second half and he thought he had the FG–and then he didn’t. So the fans are booing now.
