Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

The words do not have to be perfect.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

Fuck these fucking interesting times.

It’s easy to sit in safety and prescribe what other people should be doing.

Take hopelessness and turn it into resilience.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

If you’re pissed about Biden’s speech, he was talking about you.

Give the craziest people you know everything they want and hope they don’t ask for more? Great plan.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

If you are still in the GOP, you are an extremist.

I’m sure you banged some questionable people yourself.

Accountability, motherfuckers.

Second rate reporter says what?

Sitting here in limbo waiting for the dice to roll

We are builders in a constant struggle with destroyers. let’s win this.

Battle won, war still ongoing.

Jesus, Mary, & Joseph how is that election even close?

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

I’d hate to be the candidate who lost to this guy.

I’m pretty sure there’s only one Jack Smith.

The republican caucus is already covering themselves with something, and it’s not glory.

We still have time to mess this up!

As always, when irritated by you people or real life, I’ve retreated into the Cole shell, where it is only furry puppies, happy fun time, and these guys:

Don’t harsh my mellow, dicks.

I’m thinking the only game tomorrow that will have any real meaning for the combatants is the DAL-NY contest on SNF.

Everything else meaningful is already in the can, although it would be hilarious if SD and KC both win, and AFC West tumbles further down the rabbit hole.

If there was a “Fan SuperBowl” it would be cool to see the Saints fans have at the Raiders flock of souls. I’ll go Saints because I bet their tailgating is better.

@BruceFromOhio: Well, if St Louis pulls off the unlikely and beats the Niners, then the 2 seed is up for grabs. But that’s not likely. Other possibility is that Brady goes pass-happy and tries to make up 190 yards on Brees and snatch away the single season record. I suspect Brady and Belichick are douchey enough to consider it. Fortunately for the Saints, Payton’s pretty douchey too.

We went to a Little Feat concert in Charleston once. Because Bonnie Raitt was the opener. She Rocked! It was early in her career, but she already hid what it takes to rock her world.

We stayed for a couple of LF tunes, then left with the rest of the crowd. Well, much of the crowd.

I’m glad this year is almost over. I won’t miss it for an instant. ’12 has to be better. 2011 sucked. If the ‘eers beat Clemson, 2012 will already have beaten 2011.

Saying that, I think you were right to call out that troll about his remarks about the Sandusky child/victim. It may have been better to just have told him to get lost as his views were way out of bounds and not sink to his level of calling names. But I share your outrage and probably would have sunk to that level too. (if I had been online at the time.) I work on child sexual abuse cases regularly and I can tell you (I know it goes without saying) that NO child enjoys being raped. It is VERY disturbing that the troll could make that argument.
