    I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit? In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone’s bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.

    This is infuriating because the issue is what your freaking private insurer pays, versus your co-pay, not what the government pays. God. These people get away with murder.

    Republicans are incapable of ‘getting it’ as Capn Ed proves once again. There is no true remorse for Limbaugh’s limp apology, it was done for political necessity only. Period. These fuckers really do believe that all liberal woman are sluts, and they are totally unable to separate the policy activism, of a Ms Fluke, from their own sordid imaginations.

    I think Rush did the right thing in apologizing to Fluke. However, let’s keep in mind that it was Fluke who made her sexual activity a matter of national political debate by insisting that the government pass laws and regulations forcing employers and insurers to provide her free contraception, and apparently as much as she and others demand.

    We’re still considering talking to the rescuers later in the summer. We’ve got a bunch of trips, business and personal, scheduled between now and mid-July. Not the best time to introduce a dog to the family.

    One does wonder, though, who made the phone call that Rush couldn’t refuse. Or maybe it was wife number 4 bringing the hammer down. (Doubt that.)

    Wow. Upset Saturday. After #1 Wisconsin lost to Duluth last night, they fell behind Cornell. The Badgers regained the top spot when St. Lawrence upset the Big Red. Mercyhurst lost the CHA title for the first time ever, to Robert Morris. In Hockey East, both top seeds lost their semifinal game.

    Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like both SLU and either BU or Providence grabbing autobids is going to be enough to keep North Dakota out of the NCAA tournament. And I really hope the Gophers buck the upset trend tonight. I would absolutely loathe losing the WCHA playoff crown to Duluth in their building. Of course, I don’t want to blow them out like we did the Fighting Whioux last night, because they’ll start injuring people out of spite.
