Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

So fucking stupid, and still doing a tremendous amount of damage.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

Balloon Juice, where there is always someone who will say you’re doing it wrong.

When we show up, we win.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

The current Supreme Court is a dangerous, rogue court.

“Loving your country does not mean lying about its history.”

Trumpflation is an intolerable hardship for every American, and it’s Trump’s fault.

Hi god, it’s us. Thanks a heap, you’re having a great week and it’s only Thursday!

They are not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

Shallow, uninformed, and lacking identity

If you voted for Trump, you don’t get to speak about ethics, morals, or rule of law.

Prediction: the gop will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

My right to basic bodily autonomy is not on the table. that’s the new deal.

Too little, too late, ftfnyt. fuck all the way off.

Their boy Ron is an empty plastic cup that will never know pudding.

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

T R E 4 5 O N

Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America’s future.

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

Nothing says ‘pro-life’ like letting children go hungry.

At some point, the ability to learn is a factor of character, not IQ.

Regrettably, I won’t be able to make it — I’ll be taking FDDD to the airport.

I’d love it if there was one in Austin, Texas, some day. I don’t know how many commenters live there, but I know of at least one. Just don’t do it next week. SXSW.

    @Warren Terra:

I could do that. Tough to find a good spot when we’re spread out from the Westside to Pasadena to OC to God knows where else.

We’ll try to make it. We should have recovered from all of the birthday hangovers by then, but we have to take the youngest to the airport the next morning. She’s heading to Japan and probably won’t be back until September.

I know there are several other Pittsburghers here, other than Tim F. and I. I have been agitating for a Pittsburgh meet-up. Kay says she might be able to make it since her daughter is living here.

    HEY YINZERS! LET’S DO IT!

Yeah, can’t get to Seattle, but have fun and post pics, all who will be there! And again, if there’s enough momentum for one within walking distance of my apartment in Columbia Missouri, I am SO there!

You work in the federal building across the street. Heh. My friend tells me that Sazerac was the hip place for geeks with signing bonuses in the 90’s. We went back this year and it was a bit slow. But that means you can hear people.

@Soonergrunt: @burnspbesq: Thanks Burnsie for noticing. However, SG, you can keep ’em. The Sonics exit cleared a lot of space (and tech money) for the Sounders, and that has been one amazing successful franchise launch.

@dollared: Ain’t that the truth. This place has taken to sociallist football like nobody’s business. And I don’t think many here are missing the Sonics beyond the rich folk who made money off the rubes. I’m also biased against NBA basketball, in the interests of full disclosure.
