From commentor Laura in MD:
I am a longtime lurker (since John’s conversion) here at BJ and I am trying to help a friend rehome Snoopy the cat. My friend took Snoopy in when her neighbors moved and left him behind. Snoopy is a 12 year old neutered male. He’s very affectionate and playful and in good health. He’s also a big guy – 22lbs. Unfortunately, Snoopy doesn’t get along along with one of her cats – he does however get along with the eight others!

What a beautiful guy. Somebody is going to want him – I mean besides me. I already have a cat the refuses to get along with any other cat. She is 17 and our poor younger cat is just waiting for her to croak.

That’s 22 lbs of love!

Dear god he looks so much like one of my old cats it’s creepy. Is he blind by any chance?

Sanders Update!
Ferrell Sanders is the NYC street cat that we adopted a few weeks ago after one of Anne’s blegs. We also call him Tidily (Winks, cuz he only has one eye – get it?) He’s a street smart little cuddle-bug and we’ve fallen for him big time…. Well, 2 out of 3 of us. Byron, our orange 4 year-old, is still a bit nervous around him. Sanders likes to play, and even though he is smaller he chases Byron around constantly. Byron seems to have forgotten how he used to do the same thing to dearly departed Ridley just one year ago.
Anyway, they are slowly getting used to each other and hopefully they will be good friends real soon. Sanders is, as I said, very smart and not at all skittish as we’d feared as the woman who rescued him from the street did a fantastic job of socializing him to humans. He loves chin scratches, sitting in laps and dinner time!
So I will attest that giving a kitty that needs a home is a great thing to do. Listen to Anne and adopt this guy!

@Chasm:
I remember Sanders, what a cutie. Snoopy looks great too. I hope he finds a home soon.

OMG, if Snoopy lived in Scotland, I might have to ask my 14-yr-old, 14-pound male felid if he’d accept an addition to the household. (And watch the battle commence…) Snoopy looks so eminently adoptable – look forward to reading that he has been.

What a good looking guy! We have room in our heart but not in our house. Sigh…

I wish! We have four… did not plan on three… CANNOT have five in our present situation.

A little bit of topic, I do trust you. I would love to see a story about elder abuse. My dad who is 85 years old was ripped off for over 3 grand. He has hearing aids, and had a really horrible life in MN and ND. He turned his life around, from being an orphan, to having a life. He is wwII, vet. We are Norway folks, and do not complain. My main beef is that my dad gave his money willingly to someone that did not deserve it. I wrote to MN senators, law enforcement, in MN and ND. He was on the news in ND. They almost made it like it was his fault for being old and dumb. I hate it. My main point is we need to make the wire transfer system accountable. I wrote them and had no response. The cops had no response. I know you want to support cats and dogs, but, do not forget about the old folks. Western union is a problem. Thanks. Deb N.

@dlnelson: I cannot stick around, I cannot stand what is happening to women and old folks. I worked so hard in MN and ND, but to no avail. I would like everyone’s help. Western Union is complicit. They make a ton of money in every transaction. Apparently the cops only want to pepper spray. They are so lazy. I am over the California fire and police departments. deb n.

I so hope you find him a home. I currently have 3 rescue dogs, and 3 indoor rescue cats along with our next feline adoptee waiting out side for the money to fix and vaccinate him.
Heck I am a rescue human by adoption, how can I not extend that to the wild and fuzzy ones?
Persona;;y looking for two or 3 small kittens to liven up the family .
If I was closer than my California home I would be so happy to help out.
