The “lightened” image (which is probably the original photo, BTW, per the Miami Herald’s identification of what Riehl thinks is the original as instead a photo of a photocopy on a poster or banner) — this “lightened” image makes Trayvon looke more “innocent”? I mean, even if he were right about someone “altering” the original photo to make it lighter — and he’s not right about that — to say out loud that lighter skin = innocence? Holy fuck.

I am having trouble loading the site and posting comments since the new design went up. I wanted to say that Andrew Breitbart is survived by minions who are obviously as obnoxious and foolish as he was.
I also wanted to say that I dislike this new design. The font size in the comment section is much too small. Numbering of comments should be restored. The buttons for going to the next/previous post should be restored.

What’s up with the site? Hella, or rather severely, extreme slow page loading and that’s if it loads at all; teeny, tiny font; no reply option. Same problems on Firefox 11 and IE 9. Using Compatibility mode in IE 9 helps a little, but Firefox 11 is really borked. The hell is going on?

I wonder if some people are too young to remember when Time Magazine got in trouble for darkening OJ’s cover photo to make him look more sinister. Were the people who thought a darker photo looks bad a bunch of racists? I think those people included the NAACP.
The reason why Riehl is an idiot is that the photo was never lightened, and in fact the picture he’s calling the “original” is like a copy of a copy of a copy. There’s no need to make it more complicated than that.
