    I created a Userstyle that makes the comments wider and comments font larger. I also wrote a greasemonkey script that will clear out the blank lines in comments. I don’t have a greasespot account, so it’s embedded in the style above.

    It is for me – I noticed when reading an old thread that I could see the comments of a person I’d pied long ago. Then I realized all the pie filter stuff had disappeared from the bottom of the comment box.

    I sure hope THAT gets fixed quick!

    Just caught the tail end of “O Brother Where Art Thou” on AMC. They chopped it unmercifully to add commercials, but what a great pic and soundtrack.

    @dance around in your bones: I just looked at the code and I think it’s not an easy fix. There was some information embedded in the HTML that is no longer present, so the pie filter doesn’t know where to search for the pie-ee’s name.

    I’m not looking forward to threads full of victory and cudlip, or worse.

    A 32-year-old woman from Iraq has died after being found severely beaten in her US home… The daughter, Fatima Al Himidi, told KUSI-TV her mother had been beaten on the head repeatedly with a tire iron, and that the note said “go back to your country, you terrorist.” … The family had lived in the house in San Diego County for only a few weeks.

    @Gretchen: There’s a browser addon called Greasemonkey that allows you to run custom scripts on specific pages. Commenter named Cleek has developed a script for this blog. It no longer works after redesign, but I have tried to fix it up.

    Keep in mind though that those scripts can potentially do malicious stuff on your machine so get them from people you trust. If you don’t trust me (and you shouldn’t trust random people on the internet) then you should wait for updated version from original author.

    Yup. Authorship is on the VERY LL corner when scrolling down the FP, but disappears when you are in the thread (or toggling forward or backward through threads once the comment fields are open)
