Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Republicans choose power over democracy, every day.

The republican ‘Pastor’ of the House is an odious authoritarian little creep.

Let’s bury these fuckers at the polls 2 years from now.

Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

You can’t attract Republican voters. You can only out organize them.

The rest of the comments were smacking Boebert like she was a piñata.

Fight them, without becoming them!

White supremacy is terrorism.

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

“In the future, this lab will be a museum. do not touch it.”

She burned that motherfucker down, and I am so here for it. Thank you, Caroline Kennedy.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

… pundit janitors mopping up after the gop

fuckem (in honor of the late great efgoldman)

Celebrate the fucking wins.

Dear elected officials: Trump is temporary, dishonor is forever.

No one could have predicted…

Their freedom requires your slavery.

“woke” is the new caravan.

Beware of advice from anyone for whom Democrats are “they” and not “we.”

An almost top 10,000 blog!

At some point, the ability to learn is a factor of character, not IQ.

Republicans cannot even be trusted with their own money.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

Ahh, the intertoobs on April Fools Day.  While you’re cruising the web looking for funny stuff, here’s GOP strategist Rich Galen getting mauled on MHP by Wisconsin State Sen. Lena Taylor (D) over the recall of GOP Gov. Scott Walker…

<object width=”420″ height=”245″ id=”msnbc38140″ classid=”clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000″ codebase=”http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=10,0,0,0″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640″ /><param name=”FlashVars” value=”launch=46918646&amp;width=420&amp;height=245″ /><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always” /><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true” /><param name=”wmode” value=”transparent” /><embed name=”msnbc38140″ src=”http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640″ width=”420″ height=”245″ FlashVars=”launch=46918646&amp;width=420&amp;height=245″ allowscriptaccess=”always” allowFullScreen=”true” wmode=”transparent” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash”></embed></object>

…and David Javerbaum’s piece in the NY Times on Mitt Romney’s flip-floppiness reaching new heights that may qualify him for quantum physics textbooks in the future.

Damn, that guy is an ass. And I’m glad they pushed back on his bullshit that Walker campaigned on union-stripping. Because WTF? Anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to this whole thing knows that was precisely one of the biggest problems, that he *didn’t* campaign on this, got into office, and suddenly went for it…just like all these Tea Party fucks who campaigned on the economy and then once elected, dove headfirst into all of our uteri.

    @kdaug:

The more I live with it, the more I like it.

And they fixed just about all the stuff I found problematic (spaces between paragraphs, awkwardly placed reply buttons, block quotes back in a block, etc)

Haven’t checked out the delete strikeout tag yet. We’ll see if it works when I hit submit.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett announced hours later he would challenge Walker, shaking up a Democratic primary race that had been led by union-backed candidate Kathleen Falk. Barrett has publically clashed with unions who were urging him not to get into the race.

Never thought about it before that article but the quantum physics analogy of superposition (where something can exist in all possible states at the same time except when measured) works suprisingly well for Romney.

Somehow I’m guessing it’s not going to be a running theme in the main stream media when a large minority are mouth breathers who are still not sure about evolution and global warming, and whether the prez is american.

Just now on msnbc, two voice and audio analysts, working separately with different systems, both concluded that the voice yelling for help isn’t Zimmerman’s. They compared the screams to the voice on the 911 call made by Zimmerman. One analyst used the same process used by the NSA and CIA and has a good history of being accepted in courts.

and David Javerbaum’s piece in the NY Times on Mitt Romney’s flip-floppiness reaching new heights that may qualify him for quantum physics textbooks in the future.

That piece is a thing of beauty. Tom Levenson posted on it some time in the wee hours overnight, but an additional mention never hurts (unlike some of my fellow commenters here, I have no objection to FP redundancy — if I don’t want to read about something again, I’ll skip it, and if I think someone might have more to say, I’ll read it).

Good news from France if you are French http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/apr/01/melenchon-rising-french-presidential-polls The far-left candidate is surging in the polls and has now passed Marine Le Pen for the 3rd place spot. They say that Melenchon’s popularity is forcing the Soc1al1st candidate to move further to the left as well. This is where American exceptionalism comes into play: such a thing could never happen here.

    Speaking of April Fool’s Day…

I was reading Google News and the Washington Post jumped out at me because they were talking about a rare spring blizzard for this weekend and since I’m flying home to NY to spend Passover week with my folks, it freaked me out…

I searched the Weather Channel…no mention of the blizzard.

Couldn’t find it anywhere else on google.

So I went back to the article and in the comments I saw that the majority of them thought it was an April Fool’s Joke. So I read the “prediction” for a blizzard again and sure enough, the hint that it was indeed an AF joke was right at the end.

I think that joking about serious winter blizzards is in poor taste. I don’t know if I’m more angry with the Post or angry at myself for believing it.

I thought “well-lubricated weather vane” was brilliantly icky and accurate; “etch-a-sketch” was hilarious. But the quantum theory of Romney is sheer genius at capturing the phenomenon: he holds all opinions at all times with some probability distribution, and then asking him a question causes the distribution to momentarily collapse around some answer, the perfect answer for his audience at that moment. He doesn’t just flip-flop, he simultaneously occupies an infinite number of opinions! Hah!

I thought I had the heart to post in the Game of Thrones open thread, but I don’t. I got through to KZSU for the first time and it is enormous fun. Griner has induced a foul on each Ogwumike.
