Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

We are builders in a constant struggle with destroyers. let’s win this.

Whatever happens next week, the fight doesn’t end.

A thin legal pretext to veneer over their personal religious and political desires

Tick tock motherfuckers!

We are aware of all internet traditions.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

Nothing worth doing is easy.

I’d hate to be the candidate who lost to this guy.

Despite his magical powers, I don’t think Trump is thinking this through, to be honest.

If you are still in the GOP, you are an extremist.

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

Accountability, motherfuckers.

The republican caucus is already covering themselves with something, and it’s not glory.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

Reality always lies in wait for … Democrats.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

Bark louder, little dog.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

Let’s not be the monsters we hate.

I’d like to think you all would remain faithful to me if i ever tried to have some of you killed.

Take your GOP plan out of the witness protection program.

They fucked up the fucking up of the fuckup!

if you can’t see it, then you are useless in the fight to stop it.

Remember teabagging scumbag Tim Thomas, the goalie from the Boston Bruins who refused to meet the President when the entire Bruins team went because government has grown out of control? Looks like Caps fans had a greeting for him last night:

That’s excellent. Thanks to JenJen for sending those to me.

Off topic: I was born and raised in Cincinnati and, being on the Mason Dixon Line and nearing 50 years old, as a youngster I was exposed to great radio from Blue Grass to Motown and a lot of national pop in between. Given that, anyone ever noticed how President Obama looks curiously like a young Bobby Bare the country singer?

Your courageous police at work, collar desperado.

(CBS News) MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – A six-year-old kindergarten student who threw a tantrum was placed in handcuffs for her safety, police said.

She was crying in the principal’s office at Creekside Elementary before police arrived Friday. The report says when the officer tried to calm the child, she resisted.
She was handcuffed and taken to the police station, where she was charged with simple assault and damage to property, reports WMAZ correspondent Judy Le.

I lost a few brain cells reading this:

Almost everyone I spoke to for this story—from within NBC and at other networks as well—agree that that problem is that she won’t talk about the one thing that makes her undeniably compelling. How did it feel to be Chelsea Clinton during the Monica years? In the past, she’s responded angrily to that question. “It’s none of your business,” she told an audience after being questioned about it on the 2008 campaign trail.

Christ, who the fuck still cares about Monica Lewinsky?

Until she’s willing to answer the Monica question, or any real question—to finally open her soul to public view, paying the required tribute to the media gods, to have her Oprah moment —it’s unlikely she’ll be given a warm public embrace.

I’m getting tired of waiting for that asteroid to put an end to us.

Wingnuts have lived by this credo for 40 years

But, there are 4 things that they need to learn

2 The new bigger half now hates you as much as you hate them
3 When you push people, don’t be surprised if they push you back, “learned helplessness” is bullshit
