Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

Why is it so hard for them to condemn hate?

They were going to turn on one another at some point. It was inevitable.

An almost top 10,000 blog!

Wake up. Grow up. Get in the fight.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

Tide comes in. Tide goes out. You can’t explain that.

Jesus, Mary, & Joseph how is that election even close?

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

Human rights are not a matter of opinion!

Keep the Immigrants and deport the fascists!

Accountability, motherfuckers.

If you can’t control your emotions, someone else will.

Since we are repeating ourselves, let me just say fuck that.

It is possible to do the right thing without the promise of a cookie.

I’m starting to think Jesus may have made a mistake saving people with no questions asked.

Republicans want to make it harder to vote and easier for them to cheat.

The line between political reporting and fan fiction continues to blur.

I’d hate to be the candidate who lost to this guy.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

Giving in to doom is how authoritarians win.

Every one of the “Roberts Six” lied to get on the court.

Speaker Mike Johnson is a vile traitor to the House and the Constitution.

I’ve always loved this cover of “Spanish Bombs”. Maybe it’s the accent.

Talk about whatever.

Repost ’cause I’m very, very grateful :).

My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone for all the help and good wishes for Hypatia. NetHeadJay and I are working on getting together all the funds necessary for the MRI and as soon as I have that, then the neurologist can set up the appointment for me. I’m hopeful that this won’t take more than another week or so.

She has yet another damned UTI and is on a 3-week course of Clavamox but is otherwise holding strong. I’m very lucky that she is so sweet-tempered, given the amount of medications necessary throughout the day.

Thanks again, folks. I deeply appreciate your generosity. :)

I love this song and I had no idea of this cover. Also, too. No idea of the existence of this band Tijuana, no. Can’t say anything about the accent cause that would be me, being biased :)

And those images of the Civil War. That was a group of Republicans I could get behind.

Fun with the police in Aurora, Colorado…

Nearly two dozen motorists in Aurora, Colorado had a nasty surprise last Saturday, when they were stopped at an interesction, made to put their hands out of the car windows by officers with riot shields, AR-15 rifles and shotguns, and then taken from their cars and children at gunpoint, handcuffed and then…asked if their cars could be searched.
The officers did not have a desciption of who the suspect was, what he or she looked like or what the suspect was even driving…
