These two charts from Kthug should shut up any reasonable person about what the Obama Administration has done compared to his predecessor.
It’s just not refutable.

I had fun this morning at the Spartan Race.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Mitt has struck out.
Jerzy Russian
@BGinCHI: Who is this “Bush” person referred to in those charts? I poked around the transcripts of the RNC convention and similar sources a bit, but could not find any mention of this person.
MikeJ
@BGinCHI: Thanks for that link. The Fox line is that everything was all ready fine again by Jan. 20 when Obama took office.
Jerzy Russian
@R-Jud: I don’t think I have ever been that dirty. I am doing something wrong.
Suffern Ace
@General Stuck:Joe is a popular guy. Why doesn’t he run if he has those real conservative balls that are safe from a kicking.
WereBear
I guess that’s how you know he’s a Real Conservative?

@Jerzy Russian: My daughter isn’t speaking to me right now, because she’s disappointed I took a shower and washed it all off.
BGinCHI
@MikeJ: It’s stunning, eh?
That’s one fucking stellar echo chamber over there on the right.
The public employment numbers just floor me. You know the second there’s a GOP Prez those are going straight back up. What a world we live in.
MikeJ
@BGinCHI:
And the people that cheer loudest for cutting public jobs complain the most if they have to wait 10 minutes at the DMV.
Ben Franklin
@Suffern Ace:
Because he already qualified for his post-elected office job offer, and has no further need to feather his nest.
General Stuck
@Suffern Ace:
I suspect Joe is happy as a clam with his new gig, getting paid big bucks for being an idiotic redneck jerk, just like he’s always been. Where the worst that can happen is Mika making a funny face at him for saying stupid shit.

I and my whole family are near sighted. I find it shocking that there exist people, who do not need to wear glasses.
I wonder how many people are actually near sighted and do near sighted people just attract to each other and produce near sighted off-spring?

@Suffern Ace:
Joe has the skeleton of Lori Klausutis in his closet.
Na gonna happin.

I got conned into going back to the job that I recently left for an emergency ‘repair’ task today. It turned out to be the simplest sort of user service that the most cursory glance at the machine would have revealed. I’ve ruined these people. My strategy was to repair their equipment and train them to keep it up. What happened was I repaired their equipment and they got complacent and dumb. They’re doomed without me. I won’t go back.

I was thinking it would be good if Punditry had coaching. If a pitcher leaves fat hanging curve balls over the plate for batters to spank over the center field bleacher he gets an early shower for his trouble. If a TV talking head does it, no consequences. We need someone to call a time out and change pundits when their brains go soft. Well, I can dream…

mistermix, I really enjoyed that video.
Danke. Gracias. Tash a kor.

@MikeJ:
Some asshat from the McCain campaign was on NPR yesterday telling us that unleashing the EPA to make draconian new regulations is one leading reason our economy is in the toilet.
I wish I were making that up. I guess the responsible thing would have been to leave them tied up in the closet, where they’d been the previous eight years. Speaking of being locked in the closet, this story is simply appalling. Putting a kid in a duffel bag is appropriate treatment at a school?

@RossInDetroit, Rational Subjectivist: My dad used to run a couple of swimming pools in a townhouse complex in Chicago for a summer job. He did it from the beginning and he knew the filtration system inside out. He sought a little raise in the summer of 65 and the association declined. He said, “OK, have at it”. No one could figure the damn thing out. He got the $$.

@raven:
Yeah, I don’t wanna go back. They decided to save money by not buying replacement parts for machines about last Nov. By spring busted stuff was piling up. $6,000 machine useless for want of $150 in service parts, etc. That’s when I decided they weren’t serious about repairs and started looking elsewhere. Too bad. The work was hard but I liked the people and I had a great boss. But they’re on their own now.

Too stupid to live.
