Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Quote tweet friends, screenshot enemies.

Second rate reporter says what?

If rights aren’t universal, they are privilege, not rights.

The snowflake in chief appeared visibly frustrated when questioned by a reporter about egg prices.

We know you aren’t a Democrat but since you seem confused let me help you.

Republican speaker of the house Mike Johnson is the bland and smiling face of evil.

Let there be snark.

Give the craziest people you know everything they want and hope they don’t ask for more? Great plan.

Speaking of republicans, is there a way for a political party to declare intellectual bankruptcy?

The willow is too close to the house.

Beware of advice from anyone for whom Democrats are “they” and not “we.”

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

The gop is a fucking disgrace.

Shallow, uninformed, and lacking identity

Narcissists are always shocked to discover other people have agency.

The republican ‘Pastor’ of the House is an odious authoritarian little creep.

A thin legal pretext to veneer over their personal religious and political desires.

This chaos was totally avoidable.

When you’re a Republican, they let you do it.

Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America’s future.

“Everybody’s entitled to be an idiot.”

We can’t confuse what’s necessary to win elections with the policies that we want to implement when we do.

Russian mouthpiece, go fuck yourself.

If you voted for Trump, you don’t get to speak about ethics, morals, or rule of law.

Mitt Romney, the Blunt Amendment, and Your Employer’s Tiny Mental Jesus

by Imani Gandy (ABL)|  October 11, 201212:28 pm| 10 Comments

This post is in: Republican Venality, Vote Like Your Country Depends On It, World's Best Healthcare (If You Can Afford It), Romney of the Uncanny Valley

FacebookTweetEmail

Last year, Roy Blunt introduced an amendment to the Affordable Care Act which would allow employers to deny any preventive health services under the guise of religious freedom.

Mitt Romney unequivocally supports the Blunt Amendment.

Now, hold on to your hats, ladies and germs, and click through to read the ridiculously long list of all the healthcare services that Roy Blunt (and Mitt Romney) would allow your employer to deny you just because their tiny mental Jesus tells them to.

One thing I do like about this election season; they are just coming right out and saying what they want to do.

    It’s so refreshing.

Well – I don’t care if it rains or freezes
Long as I got my mental Jeezuz
Ridin’ on the dashboard of my car

So I can slip and I can slide
    Logic escapes my useless hide
With my mental Jeezuz I’ll go far…

Some of those health procedures impact men. Interesting, since I thought the Blunt Amendment was strictly anti-women.

Blood pressure screening? The thing they do every single time I go to the doctor regardless of what I’m there for? What the fuck does that have to do with Jesus?

@Patricia Kayden: This isn’t so much anti-women as it is insisting that we continue the idiocy of an employer-provided insurance system while allowing the greedy fucks to not actually cover anything. It’s about the bottom-line, not the ladies. Fucking them over is just a bonus for the fundies.

Of course if employees use their own wages to pay for the exact same things, that’s no problem at all for some reason.

Hey, if a few men have to suffer so women can be punished for having ladyparts, that’s just how the world works.

How long before some employer starts claiming that they shouldn’t have to pay for vaccinations?
