Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Balloon Juice, where there is always someone who will say you’re doing it wrong.

Anne Laurie is a fucking hero in so many ways. ~ Betty Cracker

Live so that if you miss a day of work people aren’t hoping you’re dead.

It is possible to do the right thing without the promise of a cookie.

They punch you in the face and then start crying because their fist hurts.

Everybody saw this coming.

He seems like a smart guy, but JFC, what a dick!

Republicans don’t want a speaker to lead them; they want a hostage.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

He really is that stupid.

Baby steps, because the Republican Party is full of angry babies.

“When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re gonna use it.”

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

When you’re a Republican, they let you do it.

It’s pointless to bring up problems that can only be solved with a time machine.

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

We can show the world that autocracy can be defeated.

Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America’s future.

Celebrate the fucking wins.

The words do not have to be perfect.

When we show up, we win.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.”

Insiders who complain to politico: please report to the white house office of shut the fuck up.

@gene108: yep. That has been set for some time. Unless you win like Reagan or Johnson or Nixon, you don’t have a mandate. Also, it looks like Obama did as well or better with the groups he win in O8, but less well with groups he lost. You know. That group that matters most. And have u heard that voters in Indiana and North Carolina are more real than other voters?

Romney is helping Obama by being a dickweed. If the president and the Democrats launch a PR campaign of “See? They’re childish and irresponsible. Help us get rid of them.”

The dull-witted will buy that line if it’s hammered into their heads on a daily basis for the next thirty days.

My mom’s a North Carolina voter, so how many times should her vote count because North Carolina carries more weight?

After being disillusioned with Obama early on (i.e. this June) because of the economy, she has come to loathe Romney the more she saw of him.
