Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

rich, arrogant assholes who equate luck with genius

The worst democrat is better than the best republican.

I like you, you’re my kind of trouble.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

Proof that we need a blogger ethics panel.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

They traffic in fear. it is their only currency. if we are fearful, they are winning.

Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President.

And we’re all out of bubblegum.

After roe, women are no longer free.

When I decide to be condescending, you won’t have to dream up a fantasy about it.

Americans barely caring about Afghanistan is so last month.

Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America’s future.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

A sufficient plurality of insane, greedy people can tank any democratic system ever devised, apparently.

They’re not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

Prediction: the GOP will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

Hannity Exclusive Must Credit Hannity

God help me I’m watching Hannity.

Woodward is walking back the “threat” quote – “I’m not using that kind of language.”

The Obama Administration “got caught” as the “father of the sequester”. He’s repeating the obvious point that the sequester is stupid – of course it’s stupid, that’s the fucking point. “It’s an old trick – make the conduct of the press the issue.”

I wonder how Woodward feels when a moron blowhard like Hannity commiserates with him about being a victim of the “liberal media”, i.e., Woodward’s employer and his peers.

Woodward isn’t here for himself, he’s here for the younger reporters who are getting “roughed up”. Daddy will make it all better.

Later on Hannity – just how black is Keith Ellison?

After Hannity gave Bob’s wrinkled old anus a careful tongue bath (“you don’t look a day over 50”), Bob is now validating Hannity’s journalistic credentials.

Well, that was mercifully brief. Now for some time with Ann Coulter, and did you know Keith Ellison is black and a Muslim?

Yes. Let me know how it goes. Bob Woodward so rarely gives interviews and makes public appearances these days. He’s become so media shy. I hope he’s not suffering from an illness.

I cannot imagine ever watching Hannity. Even the few seconds I see of him on Tweety or Rev. Al makes me nauseous.

I salute you, brother! Also, couldn’t care less what Woodward is walking back or not. It was a stupid manufactured ‘crisis’.

eta: Besides, tonight I am going to watch Woodstock (director’s cut) on DVR so Woodstock! over Woodward! Hahahaha!

As with most of these public apologies, I question the value of an apology or “walking back” that’s only offered after enough of the public demands it from you, or invites it by laughing at how ridiculous you are.

And most of those apologies end up just saying “I am sorry that you people took offense.”

@dance around in your bones: I was out of the country and came home three weeks later but I did get to go to this bad puppy in November:

    1969 Palm Beach Pop Festival

“This festival was one the most important ROCK FESTIVALS of the summer of ’69. It was the only festival appearance of The Rolling Stones, who were the closing act. This festival featured the Janis Joplin, Johnny Winter and Vanilla Fudge Jam. It also had the majority of the rock bands that played at Woodstock, including the first band to perform there, Sweetwater. This festival almost never happened; the combination of government opposition and extremely bad weather conditions was almost overwhelming.
All of this has been provided by Palm Beach International Raceway. We hope to see you out there,”
