    Yeesh. Why did I wade threw DKOS comments? Why? Apparently Dems are done in 2014, Obama only wants the approval of Republicans, African Americans are finally waking up to the disappointment of Obama and will turn against him, all is lost, no gun control measures are Obama’s fault, and Reids (this point, on Reid and filibuster, I agree with partially) and we’ll all soon be eating cat food.

    Amazing how people pin the blame squarely on Obama and Dems and nothing on Republicans. It’s not even that criticism of Obama or Dems isn’t warranted but damn folks, how about some focus on Republicans within 18,000 diary entries and front pagers?

    At the end of the day, everything I read today was what was supposed to happen in 2012. Why the hell can’t Dems ever take a ass whooping and keep going. Why the fuck do we always have to turn into an bunch of crybabies screaming purity and looking for other Dems/Liberals/Progressives to blame solely and squarely?

Later that evening, after driving nonstop from Pennsylvania to Virginia, he learned that his son was one of the students who was killed while heroically barricading the door to the classroom so that his classmates could escape.

    @Gravenstone: I remember hanging out in the trees behind the center field wall of Forbes Field in Oakland with my brothers and a bunch of other kids hoping to catch a homer that would actually fly past the 462 feet center field wall (not happening of course) but we had nice free cheap seats on the tree limbs. This was the era of the 1960s/70s Pirates of fame. I still remember meeting Roberto “Bob” Clemente and Elroy Face (who? – think fork ball) was a family friend.
