    @piratedan: Thanks for the Monster tip! I’m in the first-time position of deciding to launch a thorough job search while still happily and gainfully employed. Figure it’s time to test the waters, after more than 5 years in my current role. Looking at project management positions in my software speciality. I’ve got one particular opening in mind, and am going to craft my resume using my target agency’s jargon.

    This is new to me. Yesterday a wingnut was getting increasingly frustrated arguing with a liberal and must have felt the liberal was outsmarting him with facts and called the liberal a slant. Now I always thought that slant was a slur word used to denigrate an Asian or Asian American but wingnut used it on a white person. Is there another meaning to that slur or did the wingnut just lose his shit and said whatever popped into his head?

    Dice, Monster, Career Builder, etc. post the resume to all the job sites.

    EDIT: Also, make sure you have “Keywords”, i.e. specific skill sets and relevant experience listed. A lot of resume searches of the job sites are done by “harvesters” that grab resumes that match the recruiters search criteria and dump them for the recruiter to sort out. So, if you’ve worked on .Net technologies, be specific and list ASP.Net, C#, MVC, because those are the terms that would be searched.

    That was about the only conclusion I could come up with too. I’ve seen wiingnuts get so flustered when they run out of Fox talking points to support their cases, they start stuttering but this guy stood out. I even wondered if he had any idea slant was a racial slur.They live on a whole different planet.

    I had a nice dinner with friends last night. All the dishes were from her weight watchers program. Flank steak with coffee rub, chicken legs with Chai tea rub, tomato and corriander salad, cole slaw.

    Also, wine…lots of wine.

    3 mile run with the same friend (the husband) this morning. Now drinking coffee, but otherwise still fasting since last night’s dinner. Seems like this one will be a 24 hour fast.
