Call off the Trial

Good grief:

Fox News host Gregg Jarrett says that George Zimmerman “has already been punished” for the killing of Trayvon Martin because he “looks like he’s put on a hundred pounds.”

During Monday’s coverage of jury selection, Jarrett and Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle observed that Zimmerman had gained weight since his arrest in April 2012.

“He does look like a different guy,” Jarrett remarked. “It looks like he’s put on a hundred pounds. Look, he has been in hiding and he fears for his life, and there have been all kinds of death threats. And, you know, he can’t go anywhere, can’t get out and get exercise.”

“Probably suffering from stress and anxiety,” Guilfoyle added.

“You eat when you’re under stress and pressure and stuff like that,” Jarrett agreed. “So, you know, he’s already been punished to some extent. We’ll wait and see whether a Jury punishes him further.”

Speechless. You know who would like the chance to get fat? Trayvon Martin.

I’ll bet Trayvon Martin probably feared for his life too, before George Zimmerman ended it.

I’ve heard a similar defense of negligent parents, that they’re already punished enough by the dead child and don’t need to suffer anymore.

Yeah, it’s a sack of horseshit. The whole thing is self inflicted; if he didn’t want to go through all this shit, he shouldn’t have shot a kid in a hoodie.

I want to throttle that fucking douchenozzle in the previous thread who had the audacity to liken a cowardly sexual predator, a criminal and traitor, and some guy who’s story, so far, is starting to crumble under scrutiny but may or may not be a whistleblower, to Trayvon Martin. Fucking stupid ass, emo prog, ignorant motherfuckin’ douchecanoes who deserve nothing less than being chewed on by fire ants.

Sounds like the example of the man who murders his parents, then asks the court to show leniency, as he is now an orphan.

Doesn’t have to be a dead child. It can be a dead adult….

Justin Stanfield Thomas, a 35-year-old from Phoenix, and his son made an “unannounced trip” Friday to the home of an unidentified former roommate where Thomas used to live.

Prescott Valley Police Sgt. Brandon Bonney told CNN the boy picked up the handgun shortly after entering the home and asked his father and other adults what he was holding.

    He then pulled the trigger.

“This appears to be an accident. There was no conflict in the stories of those in the house,” Bonney told CNN. “The resident didn’t know his former roommate was stopping by to visit.”

Officers and emergency personnel found Thomas with a single gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.

Bonney told CNN it appears to be a tragic accident and the police have no plans to press charges at this time.

“We want to remind people without making a villain of this person, that if a child is visiting your home, the first thing to do would be put the firearm away,” Bonney said.

My post on another site concerning this story: Punished enough? I don’t think so.

Given that Trayvon was just a kid, he might have been looking forward to gaining around 100 pounds before he hit his adult working weight. I gained almost that much (during my second decade of life) and I am a woman, and shorter than he was. I say, let’s cut that excess weight off of Mr. Zimmerman and bury it with Trayvon. It’s only fair.
