Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

An almost top 10,000 blog!

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

… gradually, and then suddenly.

Too little, too late, ftfnyt. fuck all the way off.

You cannot shame the shameless.

If you don’t believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love isn’t freedom, it is privilege.

Let me file that under fuck it.

There are more Russians standing up to Putin than Republicans.

“Just close your eyes and kiss the girl and go where the tilt-a-whirl takes you.” ~OzarkHillbilly

I would try pessimism, but it probably wouldn’t work.

If you can’t control your emotions, someone else will.

I’m more christian than these people and i’m an atheist.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

So very ready.

Republicans do not pay their debts.

Imperialist aggressors must be defeated, or the whole world loses.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

Their freedom requires your slavery.

The republican caucus is covering themselves with something, and it is not glory.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

White supremacy is terrorism.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

So far, a great hockey game between the Bruins and Blackhawks.

You know how it doesn’t matter how long you are gone, your dog’s are thrilled to see you, and we humans laugh and joke about it and how they don’t understand time. In my case, it’s the same way. It doesn’t matter if I have been gone 36 hours or a week, I’m always happy to be back home with my six-shooters on my lap:

goodtobehome

Sitting in the lazyboy watching sports with both dogs might actually be the happiest part of every single day. It’s so hard to believe that I missed out on this for all those years until Lily came along.

What’s the actual time a dog won’t miss you? An hour? 3? I’m not sure what their memories are capable of, or not.

Also, another mostly in focus shot. You’re on a roll, Cole!

When I come right back in because I forgot something, my dogs are thrilled that I am home so soon. Sorry guys, going to bum you out a 2nd time. But then they can rejoice again later. Even in 10 seconds when it turns out I forgot something else.

I don’t know about dogs, but my cats seem to have very long memories. What they don’t have is a sense of time to put those memories into context, so the scary thing that happened two years ago stays fresh in their memory. One example: G accidentally caught Annie’s paw in the bedroom door, like, three years ago, and she’s still convinced that it’s going to happen again if she’s in the bedroom at the same time he is. Because, as far as she’s concerned, it happened yesterday, or maybe the day before.

Well, since I’m on a roll (6 winning teams picked, even if totally wrong game numbers) I was gonna say Bruins in six. Almost want to go seven, but fuck it.

You know how it doesn’t matter how long you are gone, your dog’s are thrilled to see you

My dogs are thrilled at the possibility of going outside. (Except the one who always wants to go for a car ride.) Me, not so much.

Hey everybody, how about a round of “guess which party?”

I give you California Assemblyman Brian Jones, who today shared this with us, the California taxpayers.

Assemblyman Brian Jones has released the latest in his ‘Are you kidding me?’ video series, this time aiming his criticism at public employee union rallies.

Although he is careful to note that he supports the right to demonstrate, he argues that government unions’ rallies are “more of a big party” than a legitimate protest.
This video comes after an announcement by SEIU Local 1000 that they have reached a tentative labor agreement with the governor. The timing, Jones said during a Tuesday afternoon interview at his office, was purely coincidental.

    blogs.sacbee.com/the_state_worker/2013/06/assemblymember-brian-jones-criticizes-union-rallies-in-new…

If you guessed the California Ahmadick Party you’d be so very close, but no, Mr. Jones is a Republican. And where does Mr. Jones originally hail from? Texas. Here are his personal hobby horses.

As a member of the Assembly, Jones has expressed strong support for the Second Amendment,[9] opposition to illegal immigration,[10] and a desire to see reforms aimed at curtailing the influence of public-sector labor unions. His signature piece of legislation, AB 860, would “prohibit direct political contributions by corporations and unions to political candidates” and “prohibit government employers to deduct from government worker paychecks money that is then used to engage in political activity.”[11] He has also testified before the State Board of Equalization in opposition to the proposed State Responsibility Fire Fee,[12] and has been a supporter of the Stop Special Interest Money initiative[3] and an effort to repeal the California DREAM Act.[13]

China is also a country that would be very interested to learn all about the inner workings of our intelligence and would probably be willing to pay quite a bit of money to the person who provided that intelligence.

But, yes, I’m sure it’s all totally innocent that Snowden fled to China with his information and is telling them everything he knows. He spied on the US and sold the information to China for good reasons!

I can safely say I’ve never seen a game like that one. And I saw the 3OT Boston-Edmonton game in ’90. Crawford is a
great goaltender. Rask had no chance on any of the
four. Up and down. Both teams really hard working,
gritty, but with lots of talent. Clean game for the

    June 13, 2013 at 12:23 pm

@Temporarily Max McGee (soon enough to be Andy K again): That’s ludicrous. Other than Kane, who’s turned all business in the last year, the Blackhawks’ marquee players are all good guys. Toews, Hossa, Hjalmarson, Sharp, Seabrook? There’s not much to hate there. The third and fourth line guys might rankle, but not significantly more than the scrappers on any other team. There’s no Rafi Torres out there for Chicago.

As for the Bruins, it’s amazing how replacing that asshole, Tea Party flag waving douchebag Tim Thomas with Rask has taken them from a team I flat out despised to one that I have a hard time getting my hate on over in just two years. They’re basically the exact same squad otherwise. It would be easy to hate Chara just because of his appearance and name, but it’s hard not to like the way the guy plays. I don’t know how a dude that tall can keep up in hockey, but he does, and uses his length to his advantage. He and Seidenberg have been outstanding this postseason.
