I’m a frequent reader (but I seldom post), so when I came into guardianship of a sweet little black kitty who refuses to get along with my older guy, I thought of y’all (I’m trying to learn to live in the South). I’m in Charlotte, NC.

One of my roller derby team teammates found Mochi and couldn’t keep her so I took her. Gweedo, my older cat, has lived with other kitties but now he’s terrified of her. I’ve been keeping her isolated, I’ve stacked baby gates so they could see each other and that seems ok, but when she escapes she charges him aggressively and he retreats in terror. I was hoping being spayed would help, but it doesn’t seem to have made much difference.

I’ve had her spayed and immunized, now I just need to find her a home where she can be an only kitty.

She’s super sweet, purrs and kneads all the time when it’s just her and you. She likes to cuddle and is ok with being picked up and carried. She’s very social, but wants to be the only one in your affections. And she’s a talker.

None of the pictures do her justice: she’s got gorgeous brown undertones to her black and the greenest eyes.

    Unfortunately all the people I know in Charlotte already have cats of their own, but I will spread the word and see if they know someone who is looking.

    She’s about 9 months old, I forgot to mention. I’m happy to drive her within a 4-hour radius or so. That opens up into SC and GA, VA, and TN. I just want her to have a good home!

    My Jack Russell terrorized my previous cat, so I want Mochi to even the score! Sadly, we’re at pet limit at the moment …

    I am already at my household critter limit, but I live in Charlotte so will ask around. Mochi looks and sounds very much like my Jasper.
