Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

T R E 4 5 O N

Do not shrug your shoulders and accept the normalization of untruths.

“More of this”, i said to the dog.

rich, arrogant assholes who equate luck with genius

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

They fucked up the fucking up of the fuckup!

Nothing worth doing is easy.

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

We’ve had enough carrots to last a lifetime. break out the sticks.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

They traffic in fear. it is their only currency. if we are fearful, they are winning.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

A last alliance of elves and men. also pet photos.

A democracy can’t function when people can’t distinguish facts from lies.

Whatever happens next week, the fight doesn’t end.

Putting aside our relentless self-interest because the moral imperative is crystal clear.

… pundit janitors mopping up after the GOP

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

Let us savor the impending downfall of lawless scoundrels who richly deserve the trouble barreling their way.

Americans barely caring about Afghanistan is so last month.

if you can’t see it, then you are useless in the fight to stop it.

Speaking of republicans, is there a way for a political party to declare intellectual bankruptcy?

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

I’m with you Mr. President, eff these guys.

Also on today’s #TWiBRadio, Justice Scalia has opinions on women, homosexuality, and folks of color; the California Republican Convention advertises its gender problems; and the return of #WeNerdHard and #AfterDark.

And this morning on #amTWiB, #TheMorningCrew discussed a teenage girl who was ruled to be too immature to get an abortion (but apparently ready to have a baby), and a 9-year-old kid takes a solo trip to Vegas on his own.

I see the WH is getting really tired of the MSM false equivalences…

There was a time I was worried that Scalia would be respected not just conservatives and beltway insiders, but universally for his “brilliance.” I’m glad those days are gone.

    @lamh36:

I really like Jay Carney. This wasn’t always the case but he has won me over.

Obama has the best press secretaries. They just ooze disdain. I love it.

    Poor bastards.

Really worth the read. While baggers whine that President Obama is accomplishing nothing, the evangelicals feel overwhelmed by his victories.

It’s all over! Their Norman Rockwell vision is being beaten to death by gay pride parades!

President Obama is both an empty suit and a fiendish evil genius. I almost feel sorry for them. They don’t live in this world, and they don’t have another one.

Thanks for the post Elon. The two audio clips you provide are just nuts. Well, not the clips but the content.

Thanks for link to the Obama speech. I like how he explains the mess the House GOP has gotten us into. And how absurd it is, and dangerous, and nutty.

Jeez, ever since Karl got outed as a shill (and how the fuck does this motherfucker still have a job there anyway?) he’s been a right(wing)beeyotch. This the second time in a month he’s tried to fuck with Carney only to get swatted. J don’t play, y’all. Next.

Thanks for sharing the video. President Obama did well.

It would be great if that message could reach more people.

I wish Obama would not tarnish his speeches with that faux folksy cadence, the dropping of g’s and the other assorted falsitudes which he adopts only when rolling his sleeves up for the masses.

It is unnecessary and just makes him seem inauthentic and calculating.

    Oh, wait…

That was a great speech by the president. But I won’t be surprised, when tomorrow I hear some mainstream pundits pushing the idea that Obama was trying to scare these poor folks. OMG, how dare he actually say that the Republicans would stoop so low as to hold America hostage to get what they want, because they can’t get their way by legitimate means.

I think Obama is going to have to give this same speech another dozen times before it starts to sink in to some very thick skulls.
