Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

“Perhaps I should have considered other options.” (head-desk)

Let’s bury these fuckers at the polls 2 years from now.

Relentless negativity is not a sign that you are more realistic.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.”

“Can i answer the question? No you can not!”

Damn right I heard that as a threat.

… gradually, and then suddenly.

Not rolling over. fuck you, make me.

Giving up is unforgivable.

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

They are not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

The poor and middle-class pay taxes, the rich pay accountants, the wealthy pay politicians.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

If you still can’t see these things even now, maybe politics isn’t your forte and you should stop writing about it.

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

People are complicated. Love is not.

There is no compromise when it comes to body autonomy. You either have it or you do not.

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

This fight is for everything.

Elon, buddy – we need to have a talk about these podcast links. First it was one or two, but they’ve been increasing, a lot. What was, it seems, a minor irritation in a social milieu best suited to print, now has expanded to obsession.

Time to admit, in looking at the underwhelming response, this may be a problem that needs addressing…

Isn’t “this week This Week in Blackness” redundant?
