Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Republicans are the party of chaos and catastrophe.

Whatever happens next week, the fight doesn’t end.

if you can’t see it, then you are useless in the fight to stop it.

The most dangerous place for a black man in America is in a white man’s imagination.

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

Bark louder, little dog.

American History and Black History Cannot Be Separated

Happy indictment week to all who celebrate!

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Meanwhile over at truth Social, the former president is busy confessing to crimes.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

Imperialist aggressors must be defeated, or the whole world loses.

When someone says they “love freedom”, rest assured they don’t mean yours.

A thin legal pretext to veneer over their personal religious and political desires

Their freedom requires your slavery.

Prediction: the GOP will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

You don’t get to peddle hatred on saturday and offer condolences on sunday.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Let there be snark.

Accountability, motherfuckers.

Let’s delete this post and never speak of this again.

After roe, women are no longer free.

When do we start airlifting the women and children out of Texas?

In short, I come down firmly on all sides of the issue.

Awesome. This is the second time I’ve watched it today. I wonder if these GOPers would be reasonable if more people tore open their bubbles and told them to fuck off already? One thing I’ve noticed about these people is that if you give them enough pushback they run like the little bitches they are.

hey come on now John, Representative Griffin is “just asking questions” about how practical it would be if we could simply go back and remove all of this nonsensical ACA stuff that isn’t working because of these faulty websites and dropped coverages and these people could just magically save all of this bother by using money they don’t have and putting into an HRA that doesn’t provide the coverage that they need. Can’t you be reasonable about this?

This sounds like… Benghazi! I mean the real story in both cases is:
State Dept asks for more money for security, GOP congress turns them down.
Something bad happens. GOP congress complains about Administration errors that they helped to cause.

HHS asks for funds to implement Obamacare website and rollout. GOP congress refuses any money.
Bad things happen to website rollout. GOP congress complains about website problems that they caused.

… and the media isn’t exactly sharp at connecting these points.

They call him The Mayor because he was the mayor of Paterson NJ before becoming a Rep, glorious job that that must have been. He actually gives a damn about peoples’ lives. When he got redistricted into the same District as fellow (D) Rothman, he absolutely destroyed him in the primary, over 60% of the vote.
