Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.”

GOP baffled that ‘we don’t care if you die’ is not a winning slogan.

“And when the Committee says to “report your income,” that could mean anything!

“Look, it’s not against the rules anywhere, but a black woman with power was dating and there has to be something wrong with that.”

Republicans would impeach Biden if he bit into a whole Kit Kat rather than breaking the sections apart.

Chutkan laughs. Lauro sits back down.

I desperately hope that, yet again, I am wrong.

If you are in line to indict donald trump, stay in line.

The cruelty is the point; the law be damned.

This must be what justice looks like, not vengeful, just peaceful exuberance.

‘Museums aren’t America’s attic for its racist shit.’

Speaking of republicans, is there a way for a political party to declare intellectual bankruptcy?

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Innocent people don’t delay justice.

Don’t expect peaches from an apple tree.

Let’s delete this post and never speak of this again.

Compromise? There is no middle ground between a firefighter and an arsonist.

Somebody needs to explain to DeSantis that nobody needs to do anything to make him look bad.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

Democrats have delivered the Square Deal, the New Deal, the Fair Deal, and now… the Big Joe Biden Deal.

Not so fun when the rabbit gets the gun, is it?

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

The revolution will be supervised.

Their boy Ron is an empty plastic cup that will never know pudding.

Oh, it’s a fair bit older. And still desperate for attention.

I was searching for that video a couple of days ago (annual tradition, dontchaknow), and after typing ‘Sarah Palin turkey’ into the search bar, Google helpfully offered some suggestions to refine the search: ‘massacre’, ‘fiasco’, and ‘slaughter’.

The other thing is that if you’re masochistic and actually listen to the whole damn interview, she babbles on about how important it is to her to go back and fight for Alaskans as their governor and so on and so forth. Six months later, of course, she resigned.

Watch that guy in the background. At first he just stands there awkwardly, aware that he’s in the shot and torn between wasting work time and ruining the Governor’s interview. Then he says to himself, “Ah, fuck it, I got work to do,” and resumes killing turkeys. A more conscientious worker than the almost-Vice president in the foreground.
