I owe somebody a hat tip for this cheery little mood-lifter.
Gawker Wonkette‘s Doktor Zoom reports on the camo-clad friends of America’s Most Notorious Welfare Rancher:
We have what appears to be an Important Update on the Bundy Ranch Seige that is no longer a Seige, although the good people of nearby Bunkerville, Nevada sure are tired of all these militia yahoos hanging around their town. And according to a piece at Daily Kos, even the militia folks are getting tired of each other…
First off, Stewart Rhodes, the head of one militia contingent, the Oath Keepers, said on Friday that he’d gotten “intel” from a highly placed source that Eric Holder and the Department of Justice were going to launch a “hot drone strike” on the Bundy Ranch, because that makes perfect sense. And while Rhodes suspected that the leak may have been deliberate disinformation designed to make the militia heroes look delusional, or more delusional, he also decided, as a precaution, to “evacuate all of his Oath Keepers that have been stationed” at the Bundy Ranch, for, like, security and stuff. This decision did not sit well with “Booda Bear,” the “head of security” for the Bundy Ranch. (Who made him “head of security”? We have no earthly idea; we get the impression it may be a self-appointed position, but who knows?)
In a YouTube interview with some super-patriot named Blaine Cooper, who asked Mr. Bear for a “sitrep.” That is SO AUTHENTICALLY MILITARY and COOL! The sitrep was that Booda Bear was not especially impressed by Rhodes’s “high value intelligence” — which turns out to have come from an anonymous tip line. Bear also emphasized that such defections are bad for the tactical situation, since “this is a battle front in some sense of the word and to remove them is kind of ah — that’s some yellow cur — ya know, spineless backbone, piece of shit maneuvering right there.”…
And so, since the Oath Keepers chickened out (in another very important video, the Booda Bear Loyalists take a vote and agree that it was “desertion” — swear to god, it is like watching goddamn Teddy Roosevelt and the fucking Rough Riders storm Omaha Beach during the Battle of Bunker Hill here, tell you what), Mr. Booda Bear proclaimed that since he and his guys “sleep in the dirt out here, we’re on shifts for 14hours a day and trying to make sure that this family [the Bundys] stays safe and secure,” there were going to have to be some changes made…
Much more at the link, including an oath so risible I hope it next appears coming from the Bradley Cooper character in this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which is actually intended to be a wacky action comedy.
They’re now running checkpoints on the highway in and out of Bunkerville… probably waiting for Donald Sterling to show up since he’s got nothing better to do now.
Villago Delenda Est
Oh, my, all the military posturing by these assclowns.
For those of you who are not into military jargon, SITREP is a “Situation Report”.
It seems the Oath Keepers may have more sense that Booda Bear. The Bundy Hill is not worth falling on your sword over.
Guess it could be worse. Guy could have chosen to be called Aqua Booda Bear.
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Comrade Nimrod Humperdink
Great, now the DRONEZ are the weapon of choice for the implementation of Agenda 21. Oh well, it makes logistical sense. The FEMA camps are a huge ongoing expense, and dronestrikes on the heroic freedomfighters that have the balls to take on State Power is a more cost-effective way to enforce the New World Order. Plus they make less noise than helicopters.
You’re stuck on the outskirts of an ass-end exurb of fucking Vegas in a totally indefensible position, ‘protecting’ a nutbar from grazing fees and listening to him whine about not getting subsidized with enough free grass and otherwise stuck overcompensating for erectile dysfunction. Your poor excuse for a unit is dysfunctional (as most militia units were even back in the good old Revolutionary War days but those guys knew what they were doing at least), and the best you can hope for is total ineffectiveness. If you actually succeed in drawing the Feds in to attack your indefensible position, you will lose, because you are hopeless outgunned and outnumbered, and you will get the Darwin Award you are so desperately seeking – or time in the Federal pokey.
The Feds are smart enough to let you guys wear yourself out and then will do whatever number they decide to do on you. No one will actually rally to your cause because you are a fucking idiot. In fact, my only complaint about Federal inactivity is that they haven’t opted to snipe any cows that happen to wander onto Federal land. Bundy is stupid and will no doubt keep trying to send cows onto Fed land so they shoot the cows and then the cows will die and then Bundy will have no money. Because all the capital in a given ranch is tied up in stock. (The alternative version is that the militia guys will appoint themselves cow protectors and opt to spend the night on federal land with the cows which means they will all be pookered out, spread out all over hell and creation and easy to arrest for trespassing.)
You’d have done better to have a cake and cookies fundraiser for Bundy to pay his outstanding fees an fines, considering how much money you guys are burning on sleeping in the dirt and hugging cows in the middle of the Nevada desert.
In short, the Muslim guys in Anbar have it all over you (which should be pretty sad considering that all they own are goats and cheap knock-off AK’s and had incomes of a couple of thousand a year at most) and they had a better case.
Have a nice day!
[‘Doktor Zoom writes for Wonkette – which is no longer a Nick Denton property.’]
@max: The one things these guys have learned from Ruby Ridge and Waco is to show up with a large enough force as that will neutralize federal action. A force in the hundreds is too much for police action (even the FBI).
The thing they haven’t learned is everything that comes after that because everyone at Ruby Ridge and Waco were killed. They know how to stop it from starting. But they still don’t know how to end it.
I guess this is National-ish news. This guy, Byron Smith in a town down the road from here, just got convicted for the execution murder of a couple kids who probably were breaking into his place to steal some of his stuff. The thing is, he was kind of expecting them, since he had a tarp laid down, had a tape recorder on at the time, removed some light bulbs, and was waiting for them sitting in a chair at the bottom of his basement stairs with a loaded gun.
The local gun nuts are having a real meltdown, as Smith was their big hee-row, but it turns out the jury didn’t think snuffing a couple of kids was a proper way of dealing with burglars.
I gotta tell you, I got a really creepy vibe off this case from the day the news broke. I’m glad he’s been taken out of society, but I wonder how many others like him are out there, rubbing their hands together waiting on their big chance
Temporarily Max McGee (soon enough to be Andy K again)
Quite a few survivors at Waco, and a few of them ended up convicted of felonies. A lot of 40-year sentences handed down originally, many of which had 25 years lopped off on appeal.
At Ruby Ridge, Randy Wearver’s wife and son were killed. Weaver, his three daughters and his buddy, Kevin Harris all walked out. Weaver was convicted on two counts out of ten. One conviction was set aside by the judge. Weaver was fined $10K and sentenced to 18 months, but got credit for time served plus 3 months- he walked away after the sentencing. Kevin Harris wasn’t convicted on any count.
Then the Weavers and Harris sued, and all got settlements from the government.
Do they? There’s a vast difference, imo, between what happened at Ruby Ridge and Waco, where residences were besieged, and Bunkerville, where the BLM was on federal land removing someone’s property from where the owner had been judged to have no right to put it.
@andy: I saw an article about this and then made the mistake of looking at the comments beneath. Lots of pissing and moaning about how Smith was merely trying to protect his castle from a couple of “thugs”. One guy even ventured the opinion that the case would have been a “slam dunk” for the defense had the teens in question been black, only to be corrected by another commenter who started ranting about Zimmerman and how hard done by he was at the hands of Sharpton and the PC Police and the Kenyan Muslim in the White House. *sigh*
None of the videos work.
Phoenician in a time of Romans
Man, what the Feds need to do is throw a bunch of fireworks into the middle of these yahoos at 2 am some night – and watch them shoot each other…
There’s a good chance the “feds” have people on the inside.
Haven’t seen an update (if there was one) in a while. How’s the wife’s back? Better?
@NotMax: I think they just took them down. She’s making some progress. She went back to the surgeon and was told that the nerve can take a long time to heal (it’s been a year) and that she needed to do her therapy. She’s done much better and I’m now getting her up 30 minutes earlier so she can do it before our hike.
I have nothing to add. It can’t get any more obviously ridiculous.
Meanwhile, in Oklahoma:After the failure of a 20-minute attempt to execute him, Clayton Lockett was left to die of a heart attack in the execution chamber at the Oklahoma state penitentiary in McAlester. A lawyer said Lockett had effectively been “tortured to death”.
They are doing Dog’s work, doncha know.
Would a group like say, ACLU, have standing to sue Oklahoma over this, or could they persuade a family member to sue?
@Amir Khalid: Oklahoma’s response will be to keep the curtain closed so there are not witnesses to the torture.
btw, I hope that Betty and her family are safe. FL is getting a ton of rain.
I was about 2 years in when one day I had a warm sensation spread across my leg – I thought I had an accident. Turns out it was just the nerve finally deciding it was time to go back to work. Hope she does not have to wait that long to get a good return.
Also too – yeah the vids have been removed, spoiled my morning it did.
@Schlemizel: Here’s hoping!
@JPL: The rain hasn’t hit my area yet and isn’t scheduled to until later in the week, but my relatives on the Suwannee were already dealing with floods, and this is going to make it a lot worse. My kiddo has been away with a school group at an event right in the thick of the storms and has to travel through them to get home, so that’s giving me plenty to fret about.
@Amir Khalid: IANAL but I don’t think the ACLU has standing on it’s own. The best hope I think is for Warner, the 2nd condemned, to take it back to Federal court, as the OK courts are little better than kangaroos. Not sure who his lawyers are, but I hope they are well funded.
A “hot drone strike?” Is there such a thing as a “cold drone strike?” Does it have freeze rays? Cuz, yknow, that’d be cool.
Today my old driveway is going to be dug up and a new one poured. My u-verse line is right next to the driveway so the odds are, the line will be cut. ugh I have an antenna for my viewing pleasure, but the idea that I’ll be without a phone and internet bothers me.
@Betty Cracker: We’ll be thinking about you, while you are pacing.
The nattering about dronezzzz could have been written by several different people here.
@Mustang Bobby: And what authority do they have to run these checkpoints? Thank God I live in Maryland where that kind of nonsense could not happen.
So now these yahoos are taking anonymous tips? If I had time and was trifling, I’d give them a call about Holder’s nefarious plan to send aliens to infiltrate their ranks.
Think of it this way: Nobody can bother you.
@Betty Cracker: I second JPL’s thoughts.
A Humble Lurker
Oh don’t say that. That almost guarantees that it will.
Interesting parallels between Bundy and the War of Canudos. Mario Vargas Llosa’s “War of the End of the World” is the fictionalized version, and the actual reportage is “Rebellion in the Backlands” by Euclides da Cunha.
The parallels aren’t exact, though, and I don’t see Bundy ending up the same: he’s going to end up in the slammer with a bunch of his friends. They’re going to be surprised when it happens.
Collecting their metadata, old school.
Cant link, but TPM saying that Scalia was SO blinded by Cleek’s Law that he completely fucked up his dissent in his latest screed against Obama’s EPA. Worthless political hack.
Big blow here, a large tree was across the main drag and it’s getting worser!
@Baud: I’m pretty sure there’s nothing “meta” about it.
I see what you did there.
Raining all to hell here in MD, too. Expecting 2-4 inches through tonight, and the road down along the river is flooded.
@raven: Keep your head down.
I know it got mentioned on TDS the other day but but the politicians and the armed loons in Bunkerville need to study Shays Rebellion and the Whiskey Rebellion to learn both what the founders thought of tax cheats and how they treated tax cheats. I realize that those folks are painfully ignorant of history (along with just about everything else) but seriously folks, skip one gun purchase and buy a clue!
@Elmo: He thinks it sounds cooler on camera. The mindset of these people is that of an action movie. They have sat around and thought of all the cool one liners they can say. They buy specific guns that are used by SOF and think they are the same by osmosis. They are living in a delusional world with dialogue written by Tom Clancy.
We had hard rain all weekend here, Sunday was very windy. Guy I work with said he got 8 inches of rain between Friday and last night. It has slowed to a slow mist now but it should rain every day this week yet according to the weather guys.Wish we could send some to sunny California, they need it & we have plenty at the moment.
Who was a pretty crappy author with his own delusional paranoia
I understand the president’s plan now. Wait these clowns out, so they expose themselves to the world as the utterly delusional buffoons they are; so completely that even Republicans can tell. Then arrest them.
If someone flew a model airplane through their camp, maybe a few of them would shoot each other.
@raven: Be safe
“Blaine? His name is Blaine? That’s not a name it’s a major appliance!”
In the kind of sense that is, you know, totally non.
“Booda Bear”? Is Bundy, like, paying or feeding these bozos? Given his ego, which would seem to be about the size of Jupiter, one would think there’s only one chief of security at Chez Bundy, that being the deluded old fool himself. But never mind that for the moment….these guys are starting to sound like the Arizona Minute Men, whose solidarity ended up cracking apart like a dropped egg. Going way out on a limb, It shouldn’t be a shock if some of the same people are involved. Could it be this is a hobby for some of them? Interesting scenario for a job interview:
“What are your interests and hobbies?”
“Well, I load up my personal vehicle with camping gear and semiautomatic weapons and drive around to wherever Fox News tells me people are needed to act like assholes and be popup targets for law enforcement officers.”
It does make me wonder, though; don’t these people have jobs? Don’t they have families? In short, do they have nothing better to do with their time? And are they still going to be there when it starts to get seriously hot? I’ve heard it gets that way in Nevada during the summer, don’t you know.
Please tell me that this whole thing is a giant gag from the Onion!!!!!!!!!
@danielx: How many are receiving government subsidies to help them in their travels.
Where are Bundy’s cattle grazing? Someone has to worry about the cows.
Or better yet, just make the cows worthless. Distribute a memo to whoever buys cows, or their byproducts, in the area, letting them know that Bundy’s cows have Mad Cow Disease, or Anthrax, or are feeding off of land contaminated by radiation, etc. Whatever works best.
That’ll avoid the bad optics of dead Bessie, the Moo-Cow.
I’m getting a business idea here! Instead of music festivals, have militia festivals where instead of listening to tunes, indulging in controlled substances and generally having a good time, people brandish their firearms and hassle the locals! It’ll be like Woodstock for assholes!
Come to think of it, there’s at least one such festival already.
@JGabriel: I’m sure that by now the feds have a lien on those cows, so he can’t sell them anyway.
They’re probably living off of gov’t checks of some sort – Social Security, Welfare, Food Stamps, FBI Informant, FBI Undercover Agent, etc. This shindig at Bundy Ranch is just how they protest their enslavement by government subsidy.
Maureen Dowd has really jumped the shark this morning.
They should. But in that case, what the hell is Bundy still fighting for? He can’t make a living from the cows if that’s true.
Is someone like the Koch Bros., the NRA, Fox News, or the Iranian gov’t, funding Bundy?
What if it’s (dun de dun dun!) the Federalist Society?!
That means it must be Wednesday.
They are oafs…..
This is interesting. Perhaps the reason the NBA moved so swiftly re: Sterling is that the players were threatening to collectively boycott last night’s games if nothing was done. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10858191/nbpa-vice-president-roger-mason-jr-says-players-were-ready-boycott-donald-sterling-banned
I know he quit acting two years ago, but this still sucks.
Fixed for completeness or accuracy or something.
The Mainstream Republican wing of the Republican Party will never, ever, believe that the Bundy Clown Calvacade are delusional buffoons unless they commit an act unforgivable apostasy, like signing up for Obamacare or Medicaid, or coming out in support of background checks for gun purchases and same-sex marriage.
Gin & Tonic
@gogol’s wife: Does anybody read her?
You mean like an NRA convention or a Republican presidential primary debate?
@danielx: Wow! That is just bizarre.
@SFAW: 71 is too young.
@SFAW: Aw, dammit. I think a viewing of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is in order for this evening.
Or The Long Good Friday, maybe.
The sheep population of America is especially grateful that Bundy doesn’t keep ewes.
Yeah, it’s tough to explain why he’s wearing waders in the desert.
@SFAW: Or Mermaids.
@Lurking Canadian: When President Obama talked about not having to do much, just letting the ignorant people talk… we thought he was talking about Sterling, but maybe he was talking about Bundy, too.
The Bundy Ranch standoff is pretty much a textbook definition of insurrection. Is there a point at which the president sends in the military?
Also, since no one is beating the shit out of these guys (yet), I’m beginning to think people on the left should start arming themselves with assault rifles for Occupy and anti-war protests.
Even Clancy drew the line at supporting militias. Thought they were ignorant, racist thugs and portrayed them accordingly. (In a bad way, that is).
Unfortunately, not limited to fringe militia nuts. Republican foreign policy is one long attempt to reenact a World War Two movie.
@Chet: Yeah, reading the comments was probably a bad idea. But I am frankly quite surprised at the verdict. Yes, he was waiting for them with clear intent to shoot any intruders. Yes, he shot them again even after they were already down. Yes, he waited a day before calling police. But he was in his own home, they were intruders committing a felony (burglary), and he had no way to know whether they were armed or not. I do not condone his actions, but I am surprised at the verdict.
I am waiting for claims that the Castle Doctrine, voted down in Minnesota in 2012, would have somehow prevented this. Even though there already is existing law about self-defense in your own home.
Am I the only one who heard Dale Gribble when they read that “tell you what”?
@gogol’s wife: MoDo jumping her kin now?
Continuing down cunty lane, I see. Remember her she had something to say? Me neither…
Yes. They are basically engaged in some “Red Dawn cosplay”. It’s a giant role-playing game for these clowns – they get to pretend to be brave heroes standing up to the evil sociamalist gubbmit while not actually doing anything at all other than hanging around with their buddies, drinking beer, showing off their weapon collection and telling stories about how oppressed they are by minorities, women, and the communist government that is run by minorities and women.
Honestly – if someone could have introduced these guys to Vampire the Masquerade or the Society for Creative Anachronism or maybe even Civil War re-enacting when they were younger, they’d at least have a healthier outlet for their fantasy cosplay fun.
Do you know how quickly the folks at an Occupy rally would be labelled as terrorists and thrown into jail if they were carrying weapons during a protest? I imagine the beatdown time would need to be measured in microseconds it would happen so fast.
Beatdown? Uh-uh….people carrying weapons at an Occupy rally? The cops would be delighted to have an excuse to shoot people, although their cop minds would be pretty much blown by the whole concept of dirty fucking hippies carrying weapons.
Pretty much, but held in rural areas so they feel more comfortable. They tend to get fearful in urban settings, because you know who lives there. Armed.
This whole thing started over about $1 million in unpaid grazing fees. For the Federal government this is pocket change, and it’s not worth mounting a response that will cost tens of millions of dollars and several lives. Bundy has chosen to put himself out of business and eventually, he’ll pay his fees, fines, and probably do jail time. Let the yahoos sit out in the desert as spring becomes summer and let nature do the work of wearing these morons down. Use them as subjects for military surveillance exercises. As for the “checkpoints” on public roads, it’s up to the county or state officials to deal with it.
Paul in KY
@max: Hope they don’t shoot the cattle. Not their fault they are owned by an idiot.
Paul in KY
@andy: Agree with sentence. However, if those kids had never commited that crime (braking into someone else’s home), they would be alive.
@JGabriel: That’s not necessary. It would be one thing if this were an organized, disciplined force performing planned military operations against federal targets, but that’s not what this is. This is a bunch of wannabe 80’s action stars playing dress up. The best thing we can do is let them do their thing, because they are becoming the conservative albatross. People will remember that. I’ve said a few times, I have zero doubt that everyone there has had their picture taken and a file built, and in the near future will be paid a visit by LE.
@LAC: MoDo is an overpaid, no-talent hack who has once again written an idiotic column, but that’s no excuse for using a vile, misogynistic slur against her. A real shocker that you’d go there. Not.
Love me some Bob Hoskins. Lovely bloke.
Yes. A virtual film festival, please. He was never not good.

@Villago Delenda Est: It sounds like their get their military jargon from comic books. Jenny Sparks used to ask for a sitrep in the apocalyptic late 90s comic THE AUTHORITY. (The comic that made fame go to Warren Ellis’ pointy little haid.)
There was actually a writer for the same imprint, er, Micah Ian Wright? who lied about his military background and got shitcanned something like 23 issues into a 25 issue series. I do believe it was another STORMWATCH spinoff comic.
@Cassidy: oo, nailed it.

@JGabriel: Would buying his cows constitute receiving stolen property?

oh yes, Cliven, go ahead and take those cattle to auction, do

@VOR: Surprising? Really? Is there something I should know before I come calling to your house? A dungeon, perhaps? A stand-your-ground room?
Felonies are committed by homeowners in homes all the time.
Mona Lisa is excellent, too.
a hip hop artist from Idaho (fka Bella Q)
@Betty Cracker: Indeed. Would that LAC had skipped the vile, misogynistic slur against MoDo, who’s an idiot. Unsurprising that such omission did not occur.
@Cassidy: I agree that assorted LE agencies are engaged in this process. The professionals often have a different procedure for these things than those portrayed in fiction.
My choice, too.
@Another Holocene Human: You misunderstand me. I agree with the verdict. I think he was clearly planning to kill them and the jury agreed he went beyond self-defense.
Where are these guys pooping?
@Steeplejack (tablet), Mnemosyne: Thirded.
Hoskins also had a fun role in Brazil. V. minor role, but fun.
Villago Delenda Est
@Another Holocene Human: SITREP is authentic military jargon.
It doesn’t make it less comic-bookish, though.

Why not wait till they go home? Maybe identify some of the more ostentatiously violent ones for later prosecution, but let them sit out there in the desert all summer.
@Betty Cracker: sorry. that is not a word I use often, as I am a woman, but it fits her. Too bad you don’t get worked up about the president bring called out of his name or having his masculinity questioned by this hack every single time. I am a little confused as to where you get off with the “I’m surprised, not” dig as if I call women the c word on a regular basis here. I don’t mince words about racist assholes or mysognists. It may offend your delicacies how I say things, but balloon juice is hardly Home &Garden, is it? And, btw, Helen reddy, I have been verbally attacked by bullying males on this site and I didn’t see you coming to my rescue. I can handle it, but c’mon…
Bob In Portland
Meanwhile, the coup government in Kiev has finally admitted that they have no way to control eastern Ukraine. Why? Their army and police forces won’t shoot their fellow citizens.
So here’s a great idea. Why don’t the sides all gather together and talk? The people in the east want a federation. That seems like the best that Ukraine is going to get. But they better hurry, because the Poles in northwest Ukraine want to secede too.
Feds don’t have to do anything. As an old desert rat I know that area. Come summer it starts getting brutal and in August it become life-threatening if you don’t know how to handle it; I doubt these cretins do.
@fubs: I had wondered about the sanitation issues at Rancho Bundy as well. Having enough water, outhouses/sewer capacity for this many people long term is an issue, or perhaps a bunch of sagebrush is now suffering from urine overdose/poop burial. I doubt any of these self-deluded heroes were willing to do the scut-work of digging latrines, though maybe a few days into their siege they realized the need. If not, the coming heat of the Sizzling Nevada summer will make this quite obvious.
The Feds will wait them out, after all, Nevada summers are brutal and heat makes tempers even shorter so there will be even more turning on each other. Let them posture and spit; sooner or later most will need to go home and make a living. No doubt the moles in the group are doing a fine job of collecting names and getting hints on how long the individuals can afford to hold out, and perhaps getting a few good deals on under-market priced gold coins as provisions grow thin. Keep these nuts simmering all the way through November, just so the less-informed can get a better look at the modern Rethuglican party. At some point they will say or do something that falls onto the pathetic/laughable side of the ledger, and the whole country can point and mock (very effective on the small-peened/handcockians).
Just got back from the library with The Long Good Friday in hand. Maybe I can get my son to watch with me.
@LAC: It does piss me off that MoDo and rest of the DC hack pack constantly attack the president I support. Anyone with rudimentary reading skills and a passing familiarity with my input on this and other blogs knows that. But I don’t consider it my full-time job to chronicle every instance of MoDo stupidity.
If I’ve mistaken you for another commenter, my apologies. But yeah, it’s my impression that you lurk in the background like a self-appointed enforcer to scream at anyone you deem insufficiently pro-Obama — including people who generally support him and worked their asses off to get him elected twice.
So, no, it didn’t surprise me that a typically stupid MoDo column would incite your rage. Rage is your thing, I guess.
@Comrade Nimrod Humperdink: The DRONEZ argument is particularly insidious. It simultaneously a) implies that Obummer can’t find enough fellow IslamoFascoSoshulists to include in his nefarious plot to subsume the US of Xtian A into the One World Gubmint; b) makes darned sure that there’s nobody local to their use that could be held up as a rational person objecting to FREEDUMB™; c) perpetuates the illusion of the Unlimited Wealth and Power of The Man vs. the Righteous Upstanding Patriots™; and d) completely dehumanizes the opposition – far more than the infamous black helicopters would. These volk clearly spend way too much time plugged into their XBOX360s and listening to whoever inherited Michael Savage’s “Gubmint-is-Out-to-Get-Us” rants.
@Betty Cracker: Jesus, my flip two sentence comment about dowd is what you call rage? Well that is funny and surprising given the rageaholics that you humor here. But ass kissing is not my strong suit, so I guess I stand out.
My opinions about the president are hardly an outlier here nor are they given with any intent other than an expression of my opinion. If they challenge a groupthink about certain topics, so be it. If they get challenged back, that is the way it is. But don’t give me some cock and bull analysis about my opinions and some nonsense about screaming at folks. Your buddy Corner Stone has the market on that.
As far as working hard to get him elected and reelected – yeah, so did I.
@LAC: You said you were confused by my “not” comment, so I explained it. I don’t really give a shit if you swoop in and berate people for insufficient fealty to the president; I think it’s silly and misplaced much of the time, but god knows dumber shit goes on here everyday. I wish you wouldn’t use the c-word, but I won’t redact your post or complain to the management about it.
IT’S THE CHARGE OF THE LITE BEER BRIGADE!
jesus, what a bunch of prick buffoons.
@Betty Cracker: if you want take it out because of your discomfort, I understand. The c word is not a part of my day to day dialogue. I just didn’t appreciate the sweeping, snide generalizations about my posting you were making.
If you choose to redact it, that is fine.
won’t you stop all the screaming? god, all you do is yell.

Disability. All of ’em! What kind of job can any of these defectives hold down 50 weeks a year? 2000 hours of focused attention to some kind of details set out by a boss.
