Another Dead Black Teen, Another Questionable Police Officer

An encounter with police in Charleston, South Carolina, has left another black teen dead. Multiple witnesses, all refusing to give their names, told the same story that 19-year-old Denzel “Jaba” Burnell was shot in the back of the head by an officer while Burnell was kneeling with his hands behind his back. According to witnesses, Burnell was unarmed. The police tell a different story:

Police described the case as a “possible suicide,” saying there was no evidence that the officer, Jamal Medlin, fired a weapon. But Curnell’s relatives are asking how the teenager, who was left-handed, could have shot himself in the right side of his head, said Dot Scott, president of the Charleston NAACP branch. “We’ve got to the point where our police department has been able to get by with any story they come up with,” Scott said.

Apparently black kids are bionic now. They just grab guns from cops and then shoot themselves in a blaze of glory. Sure.

    ETA: Communists and Jews were shot while “resisting arrest” in mid-20th century central Europe. the even made a satirical reference to it in Casablanca. Things like that are always a weapon against minorities.

    Shot while black. It’s always suicide. Because of course it is. The police abuse seriously needs to get under control. Like that baby in a coma from the flash bang the other day. There’s no need for SWAT in 95% of the cases they use it in.

    Ever since Sandy Hook, Raw Story has been posting every gun tragedy they can get their hands on. I applaud them for that. If only the rest of the lamestream media would take that tack, we might get somewhere with gun control.
