Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

After roe, women are no longer free.

When do we start airlifting the women and children out of Texas?

… riddled with inexplicable and elementary errors of law and fact

I was promised a recession.

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

Usually wrong but never in doubt

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

Optimism opens the door to great things.

Let us savor the impending downfall of lawless scoundrels who richly deserve the trouble barreling their way.

if you can’t see it, then you are useless in the fight to stop it.

This fight is for everything.

I like you, you’re my kind of trouble.

They’re not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

Their freedom requires your slavery.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

It’s easy to sit in safety and prescribe what other people should be doing.

Republicans do not pay their debts.

Give the craziest people you know everything they want and hope they don’t ask for more? Great plan.

Damn right I heard that as a threat.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

First game was painful to watch. Cam Newton was not great and was by a mile the best QB in the game. My bold prediction is that Ryan Lindley will not be on an NFL roster next season. Going out on a limb here.

Cole.. Your situation is tantamount to me watching a playoff series with a Dodger fan (series, not ‘game’, because tonight’s losers go home). And I really hate the Dodgers, pretty much like I did when I was 7 years old. it would be weird. Ditto. The bride fell asleep reading on the couch, and I only turn up the volume for the penalty calls. The line for the head is shorter, too.

    @Steeplejack (tablet): This.

Panthers do not stand a chance against the remaining contenders. The disorganized chaos that passed for a football game earlier served only to punish the rest of us with the Escher painting known as the NFC south.

Stillers-Ravens will be won by whichever QB can withstand the most punishment. As much as I despise both teams, there is some damned fine hand-egg underway. With the Bengals also in the mix, AFC North has been an interesting place this year.

If there is a ‘winner’ in that game, it was the outcome where two clearly concussed players came back into a game two plays later and effectively lost the game for their team. Since the NFL loves stats, the L that the Steelers suffered there as a direct result should be enough I hope to make the rest of the league takes notice and take the issue more seriously. Plus, that team ‘doctor’ should be fired.
