Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

It may be funny to you motherfucker, but it’s not funny to me.

Bark louder, little dog.

“woke” is the new caravan.

Let there be snark.

When someone says they “love freedom”, rest assured they don’t mean yours.

I’d like to think you all would remain faithful to me if i ever tried to have some of you killed.

Let’s delete this post and never speak of this again.

When I decide to be condescending, you won’t have to dream up a fantasy about it.

I know this must be bad for Joe Biden, I just don’t know how.

Sitting here in limbo waiting for the dice to roll

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

Meanwhile over at truth Social, the former president is busy confessing to crimes.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

Accused of treason; bitches about the ratings. I am in awe.

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Fuck the extremist election deniers. What’s money for if not for keeping them out of office?

Come on, man.

… riddled with inexplicable and elementary errors of law and fact

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

I’m with Billmon. I’d chip-in for both their air fairs to get them over yonder, that they might gloriously battle ISIS in my name. I’d even be willing to chip-in for first class tickets to get them there, with an airline(s) of their own choosing. I’d even be willing to spring for non-refundable, round trip tickets. The odds that neither might live to make a return journey- meaning the money I donate would be money wasted- is a risk I’d be more than willing to undertake.

Speaking of Kerik, his mentor is still trying to… well, what he is trying to do is hard to tell. I don’t see how it helps the GOP, so maybe Kerik should go but Rudi should stay stateside.

Giuliani: Obama Influenced By Communism At Young Age
    TPM blog
‘ “Look, this man was brought up basically in a white family, so whatever he learned or didn’t learn, I attribute this more to the influence of communism and socialism” than to his race, Giuliani said.

“I don’t (see) this President as being particularly a product of African-American society or something like that,” he continued. “Logically, think about his background. . . The ideas that are troubling me – and are leading to this – come from communists with whom he associated when he was 9 years old.” ‘

    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/giuliani-obama-communist

Fine, Mayor G. You can smear Obama all you want but say it isn’t racism because you say so many whites involved with his upbringing. Hooo… Kayyy…. You can get halfway through the spectrum of white bigotry before people stop laughing at that. And COMMIE COMMIE COMMIE!

I know a lot of people here will be infuriated as the GOP goes batshit insane on Obama, with the smears and racsim, and all sort filth they spout. On the other hand, for the sake of Obama’s legacy, and particularly with regard to health reform, for the sake of thousands of lives, it might be a good thing, since I do not see how it helps the GOP in 2016 to lose its shit over Obama.

If the GOP wants to go apeshit on Obama just as the 2016 campaign starts to ramp up, and Obama is NOT running, again, might be a good thing. They won’t listen to those stupid RINOs bleating about the 2016 Dem candidates.

And this will be all while Obama, not running again, will feel free to let his freak flag fly, have his way with our innocent country, and reveal himself to be somewhere between Bill Clinton and Harry Truman on the issues.

Does the GOP understand that Obama is not running for president again? Don’t nobody here clue them in.

Huh, now I see on TPM that after all the 2016 GOP prez hopefuls have to tiptoe, or stagger, or whatever, there way through having to answer all these brainteasers about Obama, Issa jumps in to enthusiastically defend Giuliani and adds his own weird.

Keep it up Issa and Giuliani. Let your freak flags fly, just like Obama will. Let’s see who wins.

Maybe Giuliani and Issa want to damage the GOP out of spite. Giuliani was the obvious presumptive candidate until his primary campaign was revealed to be vaporware, wherever GOP primary voters did not stomp on it like a bug (one of their very few wise decisions). And Issa humiliated himself as the Mother of All Fail, when he whiffed on all of his repeated investigations into the repeated Mother of All Scandals, His batting average is 0.000 if I am not mistaken.

For example, Bill Clinton stated this weekend, “This bill [Obamacare] has already produced a lot of good results,” Clinton explained. “Look, they are desperate for this bill to fail. Because, if it’s not a failure, everything they’ve been telling us since 1980, ‘big government’s bad,’ is wrong.”

Slowly going through GOP madness reported at TPM blog.

Now Erik E. is tweeting that Obama is not a Christian.

Erik E says reporters are ducking the issue by not asking Obama whether JayeeeeSuss is the ONLY way to Heaven. If they tried I suppose Erik would say that they did not ask it right (“have you made the conscious decision to accept him as your personal Lord and Savior”?).

Riiiigggghhhht.. Erik. That is exactly it. I’m sure the whole country believes in your reactionary dogmatic sect of Christianity.

If Erik E. tweets that, I will have to get an account and tweet that then, reporters should ask Obama if he knows that to be a true Christian, he has to go to up to the high places at the temple and pray loudly in public that he is not like crummy non-Christians going to Hell.

Keep it up Erik E. As a Democratic voter hoping the best for 2016, I thank you in advance.

@BillinGlendaleCA: and I are referring to the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican.
Erik E., and his reactionary brand of Christianity, have taken the Pharisees’ part. And, not surprisingly, he seems very self-satisfied and proud of it.

Thanks for the bit of wisdom from Islam. Charges of apostasy are serious, and shouldn’t be made so flippantly, certainly tweeter twits don’t seem a good forum.

Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican, Luke 8:9-14 (I think OK for Khalid to read this… :-)

And [Jesus] spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, “God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.”
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, ” God be merciful to me a sinner.”

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Could be a couple. Maybe you mean The Widow’s Mite?

    Wikipedia has a nice table.

    Parables of Jesus
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parables_of_Jesus

Another parable that Erik E and very publicly pious Christians should ponder is the parable of The Two Sons. Matthew 21: 28-32

But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, “Son, go work to day in my vineyard.”
He answered and said, “I will not”: but afterward he repented, and went.
And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, “I go, sir”: and went not.

Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, “The first”. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Edit: Ha! I forgot about Emerson counting his spoons when someone prated on and on in his house.

Edit2: anyway, I am glad to see that some supposed movers and shakers in the GOP will be taking up Rudi’s cross and beating people over the head with it. As I see it, can’t hurt that GOP is getting snarled in this BS PC already. It should only get worse from here. OBAMA devil!!!
