Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Giving in to doom is how we fail to fight for ourselves & one another.

The press swings at every pitch, we don’t have to.

I like political parties that aren’t owned by foreign adversaries.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

Why is it so hard for them to condemn hate?

I have other things to bitch about but those will have to wait.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

DeSantis transforming Florida into 1930s Germany with gators and theme parks.

I desperately hope that, yet again, i am wrong.

Not loving this new fraud based economy.

You are so fucked. Still, I wish you the best of luck.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires republicans to act in good faith.

He really is that stupid.

The worst democrat is better than the best republican.

Nothing worth doing is easy.

Today’s gop: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

… pundit janitors mopping up after the gop

Trump should be leading, not lying.

All hail the time of the bunny!

Dear legacy media: you are not here to influence outcomes and policies you find desirable.

Every one of the “Roberts Six” lied to get on the court.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

Jack be nimble, jack be quick, hurry up and indict this prick.

I’d hate to be the candidate who lost to this guy.

Two teams with great speed, if not great defense. Look for end-to-end action.

I’ll always remember Nigeria beating Argentina in the 96 Olympics here in Athens! It was men’s but still!

That’s the Australia I’m looking for.

Why didn’t the Aussies wear the traditional yellow/dk green in the USA game?

Gonna take me a few minutes to adjust to this frenetic action after the stately tempo of PGA golf. LOL.

    @ThresherK:

    Is it a “home”/”away” thing?

@Steeplejack (tablet): I don’t think so, as the US were in the all white kit.

Not sure which one got to be considered “home” for this, but no conflict anyway.

Oof. That’s gotta hurt Nigeria. Aussie fundamentals pay off.

Is it too early to start looking at the group table and wondering what it takes to be one of the 4 (of 6) 3rd-place wildcards?

The Nigerians are simply out of rhythm. They had some early counterattack chances but they have none of the verve in the second half they showed against Sweden. Great midfield work by the Aussies.
