Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Accused of treason; bitches about the ratings. I am in awe.

And we’re all out of bubblegum.

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

Balloon Juice, where there is always someone who will say you’re doing it wrong.

Putin dreamed of ending NATO, and now it’s Finnish-ed.

Quote tweet friends, screenshot enemies.

The gop couldn’t organize an orgy in a whorehouse with a fist full of 50s.

The republican caucus is covering themselves with something, and it’s not glory.

Ron DeSantis, the grand wizard, oops, governor of FL.

“But what about the lurkers?”

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Putin must be throwing ketchup at the walls.

This year has been the longest three days of putin’s life.

No Justins, No Peace

The new republican ‘Pastor’ of the House is an odious authoritarian little creep.

“Why isn’t this Snickers bar only a nickel?”

with the Kraken taking a plea, the Cheese stands alone.

Pessimism assures that nothing of any importance will change.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

Can the US hold off a speedy Nigerian team or will the Super Falcons score an upset? Will the Matildas waltz into the knockout round or will Sweden?

US tactics immediately evident: victory through air power.

First upset of the tournament: Sweden to go home after the group stage.

Johnston has to stay onside on that play.

If I remember correctly, Johnston’s tackling was already a topic of admiration in the thread of the last US game.

    @SRW1: You remember correctly.

Unfortunately, the only game they’re showing on my cable system is Australia v Sweden.

I find it interesting that there is only one player on this year’s World Cup team (Morgan Brian) who was on the US team that won the U-20s in 2012.

That eliminates the possibility that Nigeria can snatch one against the run of play and then defend for their lives. But the US attack is still out of sync.
