My 14 year old daughter came out last year. This opinion is overwhelming me a bit. Knowing she can have the life she wants with who she wants is an amazing feeling.
@delk: Scalia’s dissent – in addition to being his usual tantrum – basically boils down to an argument that the court lacks authority to interpret the constitutionality of same sex marriage bans. He disagrees with the very idea of judicial review, and seems to want to overturn Marbury. (Among other reasons apparently because of the lack of diversity on the Court. An issue he didn’t seem to mind until today. Does he now favor racial and religious based quotas?)
It begs the question, why would you want to be on the Court if you don’t want to do the one thing the Court has to do? Interpret the constitution.

Westboro Baptist is protesting the funeral service in Charleston today. I wonder how the “God hates Fags” thing is going for them these days? Maybe they will abandon America … or move to Texas.

@cahuenga: her logo is hideous, but I think you’re off base. This doesn’t look different from the Obama O with a rainbow.
