I “cut the cable cord” awhile back, which for the WWC means that I can’t watch them since they’re on Fox Sports 1 if not on regular Fox. I can get the latter over-the-air. Can’t find anything online either – which usually never happens. There should never be only one channel that broadcasts WC games…:(

Where is the match? Too lazy to look. The rain is mellowing me out to the point of dozing. Only managed this comment with the voice option (which works surprisingly well). Also, empty thread looked lonely.

Match on Cable-Satellite Fox Sports 1.
Right now Japan looks crisper and under much better control than the Australian team.
Aussies almost looking like they just want to let Japan run their legs off, then counter.

@terraformer:
List of on-line streams at bottom of this article.
Oh, jeez, this match has the “on frame” announcer. Shoot me now.
And Edmonton, since I bestirred myself to look up the streams.

@efgoldman:
Don’t peek, for heavens sake! Might be contagious!

Matildas looking a little bit better this half, but Japan still has a huge possession advantage.

Late-game heroics, again!

We’ve been spared half an hour more of this game.

That was offside, no? There was a defender on the line, but the goalie was out enough that the last attacker was behind her when the pass was made. (EDIT: Either way, an atrocious play by the defender who gave the ball away that led to that corner kick)
Randinho
Sorry, Matildas I was pulling for you.
Randinho
@MattR: No, there were definitely two players in front of her.
MattR
@Randinho: On the replay, that second defender (#10) looked like she was a half step ahead of the attacker when the ball was played.

@MattR:
Just watched the replay. There were two (non-goalie) players in front of the shooter.
MattR
@Steeplejack (tablet): It’s pretty close.

@MattR: that’s a really good question. And that’s a great screen cap.
When the goalie leaves the line and a non-keeper takes the line in her place does the offside line become the last defender not on the line or the non-keeper defender currently occupying thein the keepers absence?
This is confusing. When the goal was scored you saw 4 Aussie immediately raise their arms calling offsides.
Man, I feel bad for the Aussies, they’re taking it hard.
David Koch
Fox ruling expert just said the goal was offsides. they had a great overhead shot.
poor aussies.
