    Red card was borderline but probably legitimate, although Vela should have gotten one in the 5th for elbowing a Panamanian player. The handball call was bullshit, but Mexico is going through come hell or high water.

    @Bill Murray: same story as with the CR game. A last minute penalty to give the Mexicans a win. Even the very pro mexican narration in Univision were horrified by what happened. They were calling on the Mexican player to lose the penalty on purpose for justice’s sake.

    Yeah that penalty call was really terrible. Where was the bad call for the US, damn it? We didn’t deserve the win either but would have guaranteed better TV ratings.

    @Valdivia: Mexico only got to go to extra time with the penalty. If it goes to PKs I expect if Pineda makes a save for Panama he will get called for leaving his line early.

    Well, that was a shitshow, right down to the fat Georgia Dome security goons escorting the referee off the pitch.

    Let’s see who’s refereeing the final. The Jamaican team knows that a single goal is not enough to win against a bullshit penalty and a bent ref.
