Unrest continues in Ferguson, Missouri, and the surrounding area. Seven fires have been set at predominantly black churches in the area since October 8. The question is whether the fires are connected and the motive in setting them off:
The possibility that the fires — set since Oct. 8 — were motivated by hate is being considered as part of the investigation, St. Louis Fire Capt. Garon Mosby told the Associated Press. “We believe that this fire-setting activity is meant to send a message,” Mosby said in a statement to BuzzFeed News.
The St.Louis Fire Department has set up a reward for any information that would lead to the arrest of those responsible for the fires.
Team Blackness also discussed a San Jose cop fired for combative tweets surrounding Black Lives Matter, a Maryland cop arrests a man and threatens his girlfriend over a nonexistent “breast feeding violation” and Sesame Street introduces its first autistic character.

IIRC, since the 1960s any church fire is an automatic trigger for the FBI to investigate. Hopefully they’ll catch this asshole before someone gets hurt.
Also, I think I heard that the most recent church to be hit by the firebug was a mostly white church, which seems like a last-second attempt by the perp to try and conceal his/her actual motive.

ANY information? Okay, how about “white, right-wing, GOPer”. Start the profiling.

I don’t believe in ‘coincidence’. Period. The arson’s are connected.

No shit. It took them 8 fires to figure that out?

@WaterGirl: Burning churches to send a message?
What would it take to get White officials (law, fire & media) to use the word “terrorism”?
1. If the terrorists made a recording and describe their work as “terrorism” at least three times.
2. If they were Muslim.

@Carl Nyberg:
Fixed that for you.
