It wasn’t Obama’s announcement that he was taking executive action to expand background checks and gun safety measures that infuriated conservatives, it was the fact that he had emotions. And according to the hosts of Fox’s Outnumbered, the emotions weren’t even real:
Andrea Tantaros said that she didn’t buy the emotion because “he would have spoken out a long time ago.”
“This is how many years? Almost eight years, he’s almost at the end of his term,” she continued. “And you haven’t heard him go to Chicago and really speak out about this issue. So, I would check that podium for like a raw onion or some No More Tears,” Tantaros quipped. “It’s not really believable.
Keep it classy, Fox. And let’s remember, we’ve never seen Republicans get emotional *cough* Boehner *cough*.
Team Blackness also discussed more developments in the Cosby case and the Oregon standoff and a new game called Block Lives Matter.

I remember Boortz constantly talking about what a phony Clinton was and how he could turn the tears on and off at the drop of a hat.
Roger Moore
He did speak out a long time ago, you scoundrel, it’s just that you didn’t want to talk about it so you downplayed it at the time.

As I said a couple of days ago, I think the Foxbots don’t think Obama really cared about those dead kids because *they* didn’t give a shit. Twenty dead first graders? Oh, well, shit happens.
ET
I think they are confusing Obama with every NRA and pro-gun enthusiast playing sad that get themselves on TV after a mass shooting. Or they are projecting their own behavior playing sad after getting themselves on TV after a mass shooting

This is just another example of how little the Barack Obama of the Republican mind resembles the Barack Obama of reality. How many times has Obama expressed his extreme frustration on this issue? I remember when Obama was asked by Marc Maron if the job ever got to him, and Obama specifically mentioned congress’ lack of action after Newtown as one time when, yeah, the job really got to him.
Speaking of jobs, what’s the job of a political pundit again? I guess “knowing what the hell you’re talking about” is nowhere in the job description.
Geoduck
I’m honestly surprised this is the angle they’ve settled on. I would have thought they’d go with the “tears means he’s a feminine sissy” shtick.
And who cares about Boehner? Not only is he ancient history, he was a useless RINO squish!

@Mnemosyne:
It’s always projection with the Foxbots. Trevor Noah handled this perfectly on last night’s Daily Show.
Getting ready to listen to this episode of TWIB Prime. I’m glad you are back on the air.

I have to chime in with the human side of this story. Obama met personally with the parents of every one of the kids who died in the Newtown massacre. Link here Can you imagine what that was like? How could you not be changed by such a gut-wrenching experience? I respect the stance Obama has taken on gun control now, irrespective of the predicate cause, more than anything else he has done as President.

The President has spoken out on guns.
I guess I’ve been imagining it all these years.

You are right on, Elon! This is the most connected-with-us Prez we have ever had. Long Live BHO!

I think Tantaros must have taken the spot Coultergeist left empty when FOX decided she didn’t meet their standards of classy and reasonable.
