Screw basketball. Fuck the Pens, fuck the Rangers. Go Caps!

Pacers could be stealth team now that George is healthy.

@A Ghost To Most: I am a Rangers fan living in DC. It has not been a good year to be a Rangers fan living in DC, although the Rangers did manage to win the game I went to.
Caps are clearly the team to beat this year. Would love another round of Rangers-Caps, although it doesn’t look very likely given how well the Pens are playing.

@dedc79:
I lived in MD for 26 years. The Caps have found exquisite ways to break their fans hearts over the years. I am afraid to see what they will dream up this year.
Eta as a to the series; the Pens were playing pretty well before , and now Malkin is back. Shit.

@dedc79:
I don’t know how you can say that after the fabulous way the Wild entered the playoffs! I fully expect them to go all the way & actually score a goal sometime during their series against the Stars.

@raven: So? Georgia also voted for Newton Leroy “Newt” Gingrich. ;-)
Rangers showing signs of life this afternoon. Let’s see if it lasts.

The blue line cameras are pretty nifty.

Huge save by Lundquist on the breakaway.

LAO
@dedc79: I turn on the mets, and I miss two goals. I’m a bad fan.

@LAO: I can save you the trouble with the Mets. They will put runners on base. They will strand them. They will count on pitching to win low-scoring game.

Rangers seem to have woken up.

@Schlemazel (parmesan rancor): I missed your game, but the result suggested it wasn’t pretty.

@dedc79: too true. Lol.

@Linnaeus: Last game it was Crosby v. Raanta on that same kind of breakaway. Not surprisingly, the result was very different.
Linnaeus
@dedc79:
Yeah, I saw that clip. Crosby made it look easy.

@LAO: I was cheating though. I have the MLB gamecast up on my screen.
LAO
@dedc79: it is however, the script of every mets game.

If’n you cain’t see that silly little puck thang, there ain’t no point in watchen the game at all.
No moreso than that there soccar match, where no one ever scores airy p’ints. What’s tha p’int a that?!?
Linnaeus
Okay, really not looking good for the Pens now.
Linnaeus
Hm. Pens might have made it interesting now.
dedc79
@Linnaeus: Question – how was that goalie interference on Kreider when the goalie was outside that blue area around the goal?
dedc79
@efgoldman: he kind of backed into him and the Pens goalie sold it very well.
Did you see the crazy ending of the Hawks v. Blues game last night?
Linnaeus
@dedc79:
It was close to the crease, and refs will often give the goalie the benefit of the doubt if he is trying to establish position.
ETA: The Pens goalie, as you say, did sell it well, too.
dedc79
@efgoldman: Was gonna write “Beware Angry John Cole on Twitter,” but realized that’s always a good rule.

@efgoldman:
Blues vs. Hawks is a tough matchup for me, because I can’t really cheer for either one.

@efgoldman:
It should be noted that the Penguins scored two goals in today’s game – both by Kessell.
