Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

I like you, you’re my kind of trouble.

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

Being the leader of the world means to be the leader of peace.

A snarling mass of vitriolic jackals

The cruelty is the point; the law be damned.

Pessimism assures that nothing of any importance will change.

If you tweet it in all caps, that makes it true!

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

And we’re all out of bubblegum.

Republicans are radicals, not conservatives.

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Conservatism: there are some people the law protects but does not bind and others who the law binds but does not protect.

Schmidt just says fuck it, opens a tea shop.

Our job is not to persuade republicans but to defeat them.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

Fuck the extremist election deniers. What’s money for if not for keeping them out of office?

Putin must be throwing ketchup at the walls.

Optimism opens the door to great things.

Yeah, with this crowd one never knows.

A last alliance of elves and men. also pet photos.

I’d like to think you all would remain faithful to me if i ever tried to have some of you killed.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

    Pacers could be stealth team now that George is healthy.

    @A Ghost To Most: I am a Rangers fan living in DC. It has not been a good year to be a Rangers fan living in DC, although the Rangers did manage to win the game I went to.

    Caps are clearly the team to beat this year. Would love another round of Rangers-Caps, although it doesn’t look very likely given how well the Pens are playing.

    @dedc79:
    I lived in MD for 26 years. The Caps have found exquisite ways to break their fans hearts over the years. I am afraid to see what they will dream up this year.

    Eta as a to the series; the Pens were playing pretty well before , and now Malkin is back. Shit.

    I don’t know how you can say that after the fabulous way the Wild entered the playoffs! I fully expect them to go all the way & actually score a goal sometime during their series against the Stars.

    @raven: So? Georgia also voted for Newton Leroy “Newt” Gingrich. ;-)

    Rangers seem to have woken up.

    @LAO: I can save you the trouble with the Mets. They will put runners on base. They will strand them. They will count on pitching to win low-scoring game.

    @Linnaeus: Question – how was that goalie interference on Kreider when the goalie was outside that blue area around the goal?

    April 16, 2016 at 5:52 pm

    @efgoldman: he kind of backed into him and the Pens goalie sold it very well.

    Did you see the crazy ending of the Hawks v. Blues game last night?

    April 16, 2016 at 5:59 pm

    @dedc79:

    It was close to the crease, and refs will often give the goalie the benefit of the doubt if he is trying to establish position.

    ETA: The Pens goalie, as you say, did sell it well, too.

    @efgoldman:

    Any team with Phil Kessell on it sucks.

    It should be noted that the Penguins scored two goals in today’s game – both by Kessell.
