    Did a rewatch of The Prisoner in the post-teletubbies era. There doesn’t appear to be a video mashup. The Avengers Complete Emma Peel Collection on DVD is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

    I see Hillary has said on the TV that she will be the Democratic nominee, and it’s pretty much done and dusted. That wouldn’t seem controversial or arrogant to me, since Nate Silver and Sam Wang and others already said it weeks or months ago. But how is the mainstream media there reporting it?

    I am expecting to see stunned silence and babbling shock on election night when Hillary wins in a landslide, even more than I saw in 2012. It baffled them that the polls were right, when it was obvious to them that America wanted a return to the Reagan years, and a black Democrat just could not beat a rich white Republican. It will be impossible to them that a woman can beat a man, and that Hillary Clinton, who they personally loathe and will do everything to destroy, could be loved by so many people.

    Back from a charter trip. We caught a half-a-dozen red snapper, a blue runner, trigger, some vermilion and I caught a big gag grouper that is not in season. Not a spectacular day but a good one!

    I suspect that the response to Hillary is going to be a bit more measured this time. She’s been in Washington enough now to qualify as an insider, while Trump is definitely an outsider. That means some of the people who worried about interlopers coming in and ruining the place are going to be on Hillary’s side this time.

    Luis Estrada is my new fave amongst contemporary directors.

    His deftness at edgy, cynical social message comedy, just skirting the boundaries of farce, while maintaining a lightness of tone in even harrowing scenes is a crash lesson in film making.

    Only two movies of his currently on Netflix, but check ’em out.

One of his claims is that stupid line “You’re fired” from the reality shows. Well, you can’t do with Congress or the Supreme Court, nor with state legislatiures and governors.
