@ThresherK (GPad): What a show so far. The NYTimes has a live blog also and link to their reviews of the shows. Jayne Houdyshell gave a wonderful acceptance speech. Now we can enjoy Steve Martin and crew.

Time for my annual joke: the Stanley Cup is 35 inches tall. Which is only two inches shorter than Gary Bettman.

My great joy in my Pens’ win is completely overshadowed by my sorrow today. I just can’t celebrate as I’d like because I’m so sad and angry over what ha happened to those poor souls in Orlando and by the horrible news our raven has gotten about his friend. Just horrific. It was a great game and a great win but it isn’t much considering what has happened today.

Yes, congrats to the Penguins and their fans (I have a young great-nephew living near Pittsburgh who loves hockey), but I’m sorrowful that my people still are being targeted. And to those conservatives who wonder why we think of ourselves as part of a group, FUCK YOURSELVES WITH A RUSTY HOE!! As long as there are religious fanatics who hate me and want to kill me for who I am I will identify with my group even more.

Congratulations to our Penguins and their fans here at BJ.
With today’s other horrific news I’ll offer this….
In December the prospects for the Pens looked bleak once again, but a change in management and the addition of players brought real change. Of course, the undying faith of fans and supporters helped.
The darkest hour is always just before the dawn .
Hang on.
Keep charging.
The change we believe in is ours to make.
Yes.We.Can.
